MSI N760-2GD5/OC G-SYNC Support GeForce GTX 760 2GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 SLI Support Video Card

  • neweggOwned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Got it when it was on sale, so it can't beat the price for the performance.
Plays many games with highest setting. Works like a charm when it does work.

Cons: Overheats.... overheat.. and overheating..

I have two 2560 x 1440 monitors running with this.
When I play games, it works, but the temperature goes up through the roof! I'm seeing 100C - 102C !!! I can boil water with that temperature.

I thought it happens when I play games for awhile at first.. but yesterday, I played Max Payne 3 with nvidia's recommended settings for about 5 minutes and the temperature when up to 102 C. Just wanna make it clear, THAT IS Celsius. NOT Fahrenheit.

Also when it goes up, it starts acting up. FPS goes down, and some games just shut down.

I thought it could also be my cooling set up for my desktop. I have some video cards laying around, HD 6950 and GTX 750 ti so I tested with both, and they all stayed under 70 degree. both using 2560 x 1440 monitors.

RMA'ing my card... will update when I get the replacement. looks like I will have to pay shipping with MSI's rma service

Other Thoughts: Probably should have bought the one with two fans..

NZXT Source 210 RB-S210-002 White w/Black Front Trim SECC Steel, ABS Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: NZXT Source 210 is my go to case for any sort of build. Budget build, gaming build, office build, you name it.
My dad had it for about a year now and it's still rock solid.

Recently, I had to do a cheap build and was looking for cases under $30. Bought this refurb when it was on sale for $24.99 and you cannot go wrong with this case for $25.

Very solid steel compared to other aluminum cases at this price. other cases are literally garbage. Simple design. Expandable, upgradable. I love this case!

Cons: I would've gave it 5 stars if.. it came with some screws!
I guess you can't really expect what to come when ordering refurbs.. but still I expected some mounting screws.. but nothing!
Luckily, I have tons at home so it's okay.. but if someone who doesn't have any screws...would've been pretty much screw-ed.

Other Thoughts: Would've been nice to include what to expect of refurb products.

ECS H61H2-M2(1.0) LGA 1155 Intel H61 HDMI Micro ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: Works great for the money. Bought it to make an unraid box. For $15, you can't really go wrong.

Cons: I think there may be a small problem with BIOS. Unraid boots off from USB drive.. I can set it to boot to USB and it does boot to USB.
HOWEVER, when I completely turn it off, and turn it back on, it does not want to boot from USB until I reboot Ctrl + Alt+ Del.. Also, every time I add on a HDD, it keeps trying to boot using USB..
I disabled boot from HDD completely from BIOS but still have the problem..
Hopefully there will be a newer BIOS that fixes this problem?
