This review is from: Thermaltake CL-F016-PL20BU-A 200mm Blue LED Pure Series Quiet High Airflow Case Fan
Pros: Quiet, moves a substantial amount of air. Bright Blue LEDS.
Other Thoughts: These are the same fans that come with several Thermaltake cases included the Overseer RX-IREAD FULL REVIEW
Pros: Great aesthetics, stock fans provide excellent cooling and are very quiet even at max RPM. I am upgrading from an (admittedly outdated) Thermaltake Xaser III and I am already seeing 15ºc temperature decrease on my i7 4770k when running Prime95 tests.
Cons: I'm deducting 1 egg for unclear and possibly incorrect information on the max CPU cooler height. Case is advertised as being able to take up to a 177mm CPU cooler, however from my experience I can tell anyone looking to add the optional side fan that 160mm is the max height for a CPU cooler which leaves you with MAYBE 1mm of clearance between the fan and cooler. I'm using a 160mm NZXT T40 Respire. This information should be included in the description. Didn't include any case fan screws, not a big deal but they could've included at least 1 set.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Great aesthetics. Excellent amount of fans that comes with the case that provide great cooling. My i7 4770k @4.4ghz runs Prime95 maxing out at 70c compared to 85c in my previous (admittedly outdated) Thermaltake Xaser III Case
Cons: I'm taking 1 egg for the lack of clarity with the requirements for CPU cooler height and I want to clear this up for everyone. I have a NZXT Respire T40 (now discontinued) cooler that is 160mm H. This case says it can handle cpu coolers as high as 177mm.. now I was curious after installing everything and seeing very little clearance left for an additional fan so I moved the top fan to the side panel and there is QUITE LITERALLY 1mm of clearance between the fan and the cooler. THEREFORE anyone with a cooler taller than 160mm cannot add the optional side 200mm fan, which is not made clear anywhere in the description here on Newegg or in the Thermaltake instruction manual/booklet. Also case didn't include any additional black fan screws..would have been nice for at least one set of 4.
Other Thoughts: Thermaltake gives you the option for the rebate to have $2 deducted from your rebate total to receive it 7-10 days after processing instead of normal 8-10 weeks. I decided to take the $2 hit and will update later if it was worth it.READ FULL REVIEW
