Rosewill NEC 4+1 Port USB2.0 PCI CARD Model RC-101
  • neweggOwned For: less than 1 day

2 out of 5 eggs Didn't work 12/30/2013

This review is from: Rosewill NEC 4+1 Port USB2.0 PCI CARD Model RC-101

Pros: Was pretty cheap, 7-8 bucks. Seems to have a fairly good success rate.

Cons: Popped it into the motherboard, turned the computer on, and nothing. Isn't detected by my system, so it looks like I'll have to figure out how to return this >.>.

Other Thoughts: Windows 8.1

Microsoft Xbox LIVE 12 Month Gold Membership Card
  • neweggOwned For: more than 1 year

5 out of 5 eggs Great for $$36 02/22/2012

This review is from: Microsoft Xbox LIVE 12 Month Gold Membership Card

Pros: I've had xbox live since 2008, had an xbox since 2004(?). Having an xbox, and no xbox live, is the surest way to waste your money, especially when xbox live is one of the surest ways to have fun, with or without your friends. For 35 bucks, a year of LIVE is not only a steal, but so worth it. I'm getting this to add onto my subscription, even though it runs out in late october. Normally it's 50 bucks online and 60 in stores, so if you play xbox, just get it now.

Cons: None.

ASUS VW246H Glossy Black 24
  • Verified Owner
  • neweggOwned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Very clear, a lot bigger than I imagined.

The DVI input is crystal clear, which I'm using. The xbox is grabbing the HDMI port, which is great for playing LIVE.

Cons: HDMI sort of "fuzzed over" on my computer graphics. Not sure how to explain it other than that it made text a bit hard to read. Went through all the clearText settings for windows, and put sharpness all the way up and it didn't help. Switched to DVI and there was no problem at all.

Other Thoughts: As an upgrade from a 17" monitor to this, it's incredible. If you're looking for a monitor, this is a good choice. There's probably a reason why my HDMI connection was a bit unclear, however with DVI it's not a problem.
