Dell U2413 Black 24

Pros: Amazing color rendition. I bought this to replace an older Dell 2405 which suddenly went black on me (no backlight) after 6 years of use.
Received this and set it up. I did notice after a couple of days that there was a vertical line on one side that would show depending on the color being displayed at those pixels.
I called Newegg and I send them photos of the screen showing the problem. They agreed to issue a refund RMA. I ordered a replacement and when it arrived I returned the first one.
The replacement is flawless. My SpiderPro 4 calibration worked well and I can see a noticeable difference when editing in Photoshop as I have 100% RGB coverage and about 99% Adobe RGB.

Cons: Would have given 5 stars if I did not need to return the first one. For a high priced monitor that is factory calibrated, I would expect better QA.

Other Thoughts: Special kudos to Newegg who made the replacement of my first monitor effortless. Received my CC credit within 1 week.

HP MediaSmart EX485, Intel Celeron 2.0 Ghz 2GB DDR2 750GB HDD, Mac Compatible, Powered by Windows Home Server

Pros: This machine was very easy to set up. It looks great and comes configured with many features that make it really powerful for a home server.
Installation is a breeze. Plug it in, turn it on and install the client software on a PC. It walked me through setting up a free domain ( and now I can get to my documents and media from any Browser. It provides a very nice media player over the internet so I can listen to my music from anywhere.
I added an extra drive (from newegg). Just drop the drive into an available tray and slide in. No need to power down the server. Wait 2 minutes and the server, recognizes and mounts the drive.
Adding users and shared drives is a snap. With two installed drives all the user data is shadowed onto both drives for extra security.
It backs up all my PCs automatically (1 exception, see below).
There are many snap-in snap-in applications available ( I have just begun to play, but so far it’s been great.

Cons: One of my laptops (Dell 600m) doesn't wake up from sleep automatically and has to be backed up from the menu.
I also wish that the power saver features offered more scheduling options. Currently I can schedule the server to sleep (using only 1 watt), at a certain time. I would prefer to be able to schedule different times on different days. Multiple on-off cycles during the day would be very useful.
Other then that everything works fine.

Other Thoughts: I strongly recommend a second drive. It add data shadowing capability to specified folders.

3 out of 5 eggs Wii PLay 02/11/2009

This review is from: Wii Play with Wii Remote Wii Game

Pros: Gets you a second controller and a game for about $10.00 more then just a controller.

Cons: The games are mostly lame. The first time you use it, you must play each one in turn to be allowed to play the next. The pool game is decent and there is a tank shooting game that is also OK.

Other Thoughts: Wii Play is really about learning how to use the controllers. The games are entertaining for you younger kids (under 8).
