Great for the price, comes in very handy
Pros: Works like it should. Hard to beat for the price / value. Simple to use. Just point and pull the trigger. It also shows the highest recorded temperature.
Cons: Not sure about the durability, but then again, I didn't spend that much on it. The highest recorded temperature will reset when you pull the trigger again, so keep track of it if needed.
Overall Review: I bought this while on sale and couldn't be happier. I bought this for the purpose of checking my home for air leaks and any hot spots that might need additional insulation. But great for other uses as well, like auto work and even in the kitchen when cooking.
Works but YMMV
Pros: It's simple to set up. Just plug in the devices, give them a minute to sync up and then you're good to go.
Cons: The speeds through some parts of the house were slower than wireless. The problem with powerline adapters is the further the signal has to travel, the slower it gets.
Overall Review: My breaker box is located in a detached garage. So the signal has to go from one adapter all the way there and back to the other adapter. To verify it was the distance affecting it, I plugged both adapters in outlets I knew were on the same breaker and I saw much faster speeds (almost double). In the end, I bought some recertified routers that were DD-WRT compatible and set them up as wireless bridges to use with all my network capable things.
Great Product
Pros: A huge improvement over stock heatsink/fan. Love the different ways you can set/control the fan speed. I usually run my AMD Athlon XP 2400+ mobile set at 2.0ghz for everyday use and a low fan setting, but when I need to run it at 2.4ghz, I just crank up the fan and it keeps it cool!
Cons: Wish they spent the extra $1 for a fan grill guard. No big, just added one myself (I'm a bit paranoid about a loose cable finding it's way into those blades). Somewhat difficult to install, had to remove the power supply, but it could be my case is just that small.
Overall Review: Definitely one of the better heatsink/fan units. Although, I might upgrade the fan to the Thermaltake 92mm UFO fan. Yeah, it looks stupid with the LED lights, but it uses the same controller as this fan.
