This review is from: Cuisinart SS-700 Keurig K-Cups Single Serve Brewing System Silver
Pros: I have owned this machine for about 4 months now and I love it! No problems so far and with 3 adults who all wake up at different times, being able to make individual cups of coffee is great! The machine is very quiet and once turned on, it takes about 30 seconds to a minute for it to be ready for brew. The reservoir is huge and with normal use(2-3 cups a day), needs refill about every 5 days. This also comes with everything you need- coffee scoop, single-cup filter for your own coffee AND a 12 pack sampler pack. The bottom tray is also removable so you can fit tall travel mugs. Now for all the problems with the pump people seem to be having? As I said, so far so good for me. I did do a "descale" just recently with vinegar and did run into one problem- my machine did not work properly afterwards! It was taking longer to make a cup of coffee AND it was only putting out about half the amount it was supposed to. It turned out to be a simple solution- I unplugged it for about 30 seconds and it worked fine again and has been ever since. Now why that worked I have no clue!
So after 4 months, I can honestly say this is a great machine. And now it appears there are more K-cup flavors coming out. Gevalia has just come out with a Caramel Macchiato cappucino which is a GREAT step forward! That is what I loved about my other single-serve machine(rhymes with Bossimo)- the cappucinos! I will update in a few months or if anything goes wrong with this machine.
Cons: None so far
Other Thoughts: After only 4 months of ownership, it's hard to comment on the durability of this machine. But at this point, I love the ability to brew single cups of coffee and not have a whole pot of coffee go bad because we all wake up at different times of the morning.
And the only reason I gave it 4 stars is because this thing doesn't make cappucinos!!! But, as I stated in the "pros" section, that may be changing!
Pros: I bought one of these for my 6-year old son for Christmas. He's always bugging me to play games on my HTC Inspire and constantly occupying my pc to watch YouTube. I can say this tablet fit the bill on one of those at least. It is great for watching videos and web surfing. Videos play without a hitch but I will add that there is no way to "zoom in" when viewing web pages. Wireless setup was a breeze on my home network. There is also a micro SD slot which is handy if you want to download music so it makes for a nice, cheap mp3 player.
Cons: As some have mentioned already, it leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to games. My phone plays games much better than this tablet! Some of the less intense games play just fine but the graphic-needy ones? Well, let's just say don't even bother. Angry Birds? Laggy. Home Run Derby? Laggy. I haven't tried any others because I just don't think this tablet can handle them.
The battery doesn't seem to last very long but I think part of the reason is even when it's in "standy by" it appears to use quite a bit of battery power so just make sure if you are not using it, go ahead and turn it off completely.
The touch screen can be very "iffy". Sometimes it takes a few seconds to respond, sometimes it doesn't respond at all, and sometimes it takes on a mind of its own.
Other Thoughts: I'm up in the air on whether to keep this. It is a good entry-level tablet and works great for watching YouTube, checking email and general web surfing. On the other hand, my son LOVES to play games and this tablet is just really incapable of playing any of the better games.
Like they say- you get what you pay for.
This review is from: Norelco 8240XL Men's Shavers
Pros: I have been using a Braun 5000 series for the longest time. Not sure if it was ready to give out or what but it just seemed to be too noisy so I decided to try a rotary shaver. I had read to stay away from Remington brand so Norelco was my next option. I didn't want their cheap-o model but neither did I want to spend $200 for their top model. The 8240xl fit the bill perfectly. I have had trouble before with rotary razors not shaving around my adam's apple very close but I will admit, the three floating heads on this thing are quite amazing! If this is your first time using an electric shaver, be sure to give your skin a couple of weeks to adjust to it. After that, say goodbye to shaving cream and razor blades forever!
Very close shave, SUPER quite, good battery life, and can be cleaned with water. What more could you ask for!??
Cons: Not self-cleaning??? But I guess you can spend the extra $100 if you really want that!READ FULL REVIEW
