2 out of 5 eggs Nice but LOUD 02/22/2014

This review is from: ENERMAX T.B. Silence UCTB12P 120mm PWM Function Case Fan

Pros: Looks like good build quality

Cons: Loud

Other Thoughts: Despite being touted as quiet these are as loud as my Antec 120mm 3 speed case fans on the high setting. No on-fan speed controller means you're stuck with the noise unless you can lower RPM via MB. Sending back to new egg. my bad for not checking for on-fan speed control

SAPPHIRE Ultimate Radeon HD 7750 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card (11202-03-40G )
  • Verified Owner
  • neweggOwned For: 1 week to 1 month

Pros: Fanless = silent.

Cons: Seems to load system beyond mere power draw issues. Big problem is display will not wake from S3 sleep, reboot required. Suspect dirivers are not quite there yet (running Catalyst 12.4). Would not purchase knowing what I know now.

1 out of 5 eggs Disappearing Tuner Problem 06/07/2011

This review is from: AVerMedia AVerTVHD Duet - PCTV Tuner (A188 - White Box)

Pros: Works fine when it works.

Cons: Had the "disappearing tuner" problem others have reported. (AMD box running 32-bit Windows 7 Home Premium). Reinstalling drivers did nothing. Fixed it the first time by restoring a disk image. Second time even that didn't work, go figure. Life's too short to waste troubleshooting junk like this. Skip it. (Never had this problem on any of the previous 7 or so tuner cards I've owned.)
