Intel X25-V 2.5

5 out of 5 eggs Great product, great price 12/15/2010

This review is from: Intel X25-V 2.5" 40GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) SSDSA2MP040G2K5

Pros: - Low price
- Perfectly quiet (obviously)
- Good perf

Cons: ?

Other Thoughts: I bought this to serve as the OS drive for my Windows Media Center. Noise was the motivating factor. It boots incredibly quickly and disk access feels snappy, but honestly, perf wasn't why I got this so I haven't done much speed testing.

PowerColor Radeon HD 4350 DirectX 10.1 AP4350 512MD2-H 512MB 64-Bit DDR2 PCI HDCP Ready Video Card
  • Verified Owner
  • neweggOwned For: 1 day to 1 week

Pros: - Passively cooled so it's perfectly quiet

Cons: - Drivers. I had to repeatedly retry the driver install. The first few times I got a blue screen.
- Wouldn't play WTV files recorded in Media Center

Other Thoughts: Maybe I just got a bad one, but I ended up RMA'ing this. All the video worked, but it wouldn't display a picture for any video recorded in Media Center. I replaced it with an NVidia GT430. It worked perfectly on the first try.

Rosewill RX35MV-SU SLV 3.5

1 out of 5 eggs You Get What You Pay For 01/14/2008

This review is from: Rosewill RX35MV-SU SLV 3.5" SATA to USB 2.0 External Enclosure (Silver Aluminum)

Pros: Low cost

Cons: - Screws don't fit to hold the hard drive in place
- Screws don't fit to keep the case closed

Other Thoughts: This is really a perplexing piece of hardware. Didn't anybody try to put these screws in and realize they are too small? Buy something else.
