AMD Athlon X4 870k with AMD quiet cooler Quad-Core Socket FM2+ 95W AD870KXBJCSBX Desktop Processor
  • Verified Owner
  • neweggOwned For: 1 week to 1 month

Pros: Good price, no integrated low performance graphics to pay for, benchmarks fairly well, stock heatsink is a lot bigger than other amd apus I've purchased lately

Cons: Non to think of

Other Thoughts: These 4 core cpus have gotten alot more powerful , this cpu is almost as powerful as amd's 6 core am3+ cpu's

BIOSTAR Hi-Fi A88W 3D FM2+ / FM2 AMD A88X (Bolton D4) SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 HDMI ATX AMD Motherboard
  • Verified Owner
  • neweggOwned For: 1 day to 1 week

Pros: 3 4pin system fan headers and 2 4pin cpu fan headers, fan control in the bios for each individual fan.8 sata connectors, pci express 3.0 and usb 3.0 header. I was happy to get the latest version 5.3 with latest bio already installed.

Cons: no cons

Other Thoughts: as far as i can see the athlon 860k is the most powerful chip for the fm2+ boards, on the list of compatible chips on the biostar websight they list a athlon 870k and a 880k, if these are as cheap as the 860k they may be a real bargain.

2 out of 5 eggs 600 watt tr2 thermo take power supply 12/26/2014

This review is from: Thermaltake TR2 TR-600 600W ATX12V v2.3 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Power Supply

Pros: Purchased three of these and two out of three are working fine.

Cons: Developed fan noise after adding 270x video card, worked fine for 4 months without video card. 270x only draws about 225 watts when maxed out.

Other Thoughts: This is first bad thermo take product, i have had trouble with so kinda disappointed in thermo take.
