Pros: Very fast drive , silent operation , does not get hot. Works as intended right out of the box , mass storage capabilities for such a low price , great performance. Tested on a Sata 3 motherboard using windows 10 pro x64bit , ATTO Disk benchamark and Anvil Storage Utilities reports the speeds as this : Reads = 202mb/s , Writes = 201mbs. No problems to report , i will use this drive for my OS back ups and media storage , plenty of space on it.
Cons: None yet.
Other Thoughts: I will recommend this hard drive if you need a massive storage device because of the price to performance ratio + huge capacity. Get it.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Price to performance ratio it's great , no other SSD will offer this speeds and capacity for this low price , Samsung Evo it's a close comparison but those drives are still expensive at the moment of this writing. This is the newest line of Crucial SSD drives using their latest technology like 3D Nand flash technology (vertical stacked NAND) . Release date was in August for this new line of SSDs , so this line of completely new drives MX300 has been out for only ~90 days. I expect future firmware updates for this SSD to make this drive even better. Tested on a Sata 3 motherboard using ATTO benchmark tool and Anvil Storage Utilities on windows 10 pro x64bit shows this speeds: Reads = 537Mb/s , Writes = 515mb/s , so indeed it surpass the speeds specifications for this SSD. Very fast drive for day to day tasks and use as a windows installed boot drive. It works as intended , no problems to report , just remember to initialize this drive as otherwise the system won't see it , this is what you do to initialize this new SSD drive in windows 10: Go to cortana and type Disk Management , it will take you to Create and Format Disk Partitions , In here it will ask you to initialize the new Cruscial MX300 SSD drive , go ahead and initialize the drive , next it will appear in Disk management but you have to right click on the window showing the drive letter and partition the drive as new , do that and you are good to go , now you can use it as Storage drive or you can install windows on it and won't have anymore problems , i hope that helps.
Cons: None yet.
Other Thoughts: I will definitely recommend this SSD , as stated before it is the king of price to performance ratio. Go for it.READ FULL REVIEW
