You get what you are paying for

Pros: Price and decent space
Cons: As the previous reviewer I have to concur that the lack of power on/off switch is a big overlook. I have very old Western Digital 320GB portable HD (about 5 years old) with the switch and still rocks and the speeds are just about the same as Touro +/- 5MB. There are issues with input and output.. I had on Touro few clud folders like Dropbox, Copy, SkyDrive, Box (not Dav) and Baidu... I get errors every 15 minutes to point where is the folder. Same issues, refreshing. It must be unplugged (both AC power and USB port cable. to get working again.) Unusable. It is only as good as USB 2. period. Actually my old (and i have many) USB 2 portable HD's are working much, much better. I wouldn't dare installing linux or any other operating system on this one here. Final Thing. No input output problems when connected to USB 2 port mhhh ;-) Here is another though... My other portable USB 3.0 HD's change the blue light to white when in USB 2 mode.. Not this one. Trust me i have no Hardware issues on my computer. In total I own 3 USB 3.0 HD, all of them over 1,5 TB. and only this one gives me the much unneeded headache.
Overall Review: This is not a crucial thing. But windows (in my case Win 7001 Pro x64) doesn't know how to partition this; Errors that do not apply (MFT) with empty space.. . Easeus Partitioner did it in 10 seconds (I sliced into 2 even drives) I cannot judge the overheating problems because thus far all is OK. and i own this only for about 4 weeks. Touro Cloud????.. Read up above.. about "cloud" sync. issues
