Pros: Runs cool. Fanless. Compact. Debian 7.6 installs with no hassle; need debian/jessie xorg for hardware acceleration.
Cons: Coming from the gorgeous aluminum shuttle boxes, this machine is a step backwards. It's made mostly of plastic, does not feel very solid. Had a hard time screwing in the SSD, as the screw holes are not 100% aligned.
Firmware is UEFI only, no legacy BIOS.

Pros: Works, was recognized immediately by Debian wheezy.
Cons: Construction is cheap and feels like won't last long. For $20 I have of course no right to complain.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Completely silent (has no fan and no spinning disks). The Atom processor (Bay Trail) is much faster than the old generation of Atom processors, and this chromebook feels faster than the 2012 Samsung ARM Chromebook.
I was able to boot debian linux from external USB, which makes a great mobile linux setup.
Cons: The "legacy boot" feature does not appear to be supported. This is not really a cons since the machine was not advertised as such. Still, it would be able to be able to boot external OS's with no fuss.
Other Thoughts: By far the best hardware purchase I have made in the past couple of years.READ FULL REVIEW
