Overall Very Good

QNIX QX2710 LED Evolution II Multi TRUE10 Matte 27-Inch 2560x1440 AH-VA Panel DVI HDMI Monitor
QNIX QX2710 LED Evolution II Multi TRUE10 Matte 27-Inch 2560x1440 AH-VA Panel DVI HDMI Monitor

Pros: I've had this for a year and it is by far the best monitor I have ever owned. Very high resolution, lot of room for apps and the colors are great. Playing games on it because of the color range is a joy.

Cons: Stand is very flimsy. Get a mount for it, that my plan. Power brick gets very hot, not sure why. Make sure you keep it from carpet.

Overall Review: Overall a good product. If you are looking for affordable 1440p, this is what you want.

Most Critical Review

Lasted One Day.

CORSAIR RM Series RM1000 1000 W ATX12V v2.4 and EPS 2.92 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply
CORSAIR RM Series RM1000 1000 W ATX12V v2.4 and EPS 2.92 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Looks nice, modular.

Cons: This thing was in my PC for a grand total of a day. Went to wake the computer up from sleep and I hear a pop and the smell of ozone fills my nose. Great. I'm just lucky that the only thing it took with it was a old hard drive I'm not really using, everything else including both my 290's are working.

Overall Meh

AMD FX-8320 - FX-8000 Series Vishera 8-Core 3.5 GHz (4.0 GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 125W Desktop Processor - FD8320FRHKBOX
AMD FX-8320 - FX-8000 Series Vishera 8-Core 3.5 GHz (4.0 GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 125W Desktop Processor - FD8320FRHKBOX

Pros: Cheap, easy install. Somewhat powerful compared to the Phenom I had before.

Cons: AMD is just not worth it as a CPU platform anymore. They have increasingly become irrelevant. After using this guy for about a year I jumped ship and picked up a 4690k. It runs circles around this chip in most situations. Especially games. If you really need 8 threads, which most people don't, go for this or the 8350.

Overall Review: Hopefully Zen will have AMD throwing punches in the single thread arena again soon.

Roomy, Maybe too much so for some

Corsair Obsidian Series 750D CC-9011035-WW Black Brushed Aluminum and Steel ATX Full Tower Computer Case
Corsair Obsidian Series 750D CC-9011035-WW Black Brushed Aluminum and Steel ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: Lot of room, many mounting points for fans and radiators, overall sturdy construction, dust filters are great. Everything stays pretty clean, but that doesn't mean you can just ignore any and all dusting. Included fans and air flow are great. Keeps everything very cool, and my CPU and GPU are well under normal operating temps because of the air flow.

Cons: Dust Filter on the top could be better, front panel USB ports kinda wiggle a bit. That's being kind nit-picky because every case I've used has had some wiggle.

Overall Review: Overall this case is a winner. It is a full tower case though. If you have the room, can't recommend it more. It's the only case I have been totally satisfied with since I first started building. If you pack around your PC a ton, don't even consider this form factor.

Great Chip

Intel Core i5-4690K - Core i5 4th Gen Devil's Canyon Quad-Core 3.5 GHz LGA 1150 88W Intel HD Graphics 4600 Desktop Processor - BX80646I54690K
Intel Core i5-4690K - Core i5 4th Gen Devil's Canyon Quad-Core 3.5 GHz LGA 1150 88W Intel HD Graphics 4600 Desktop Processor - BX80646I54690K

Pros: Very fast, runs very cool, good price for what you get out of it, unlocked. It just flies in games.

Cons: I lost the silicon lottery. Seems this chip just won't go past 4.2 GHZ. I cranked the voltage to 1.275 and couldn't get 4.3 or 4.4 stable. Oh well, thats life, it still flies at 4.2 at 1.150 and runs really cool with my h100i.

Overall Review: Wished it could go higher but thats life, not worth taking an egg off.

Wow

XFX Radeon R9 290 4GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Graphics Card R9-290A-EDFD
XFX Radeon R9 290 4GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Graphics Card R9-290A-EDFD

Pros: Fast, unbelievably fast. Runs cool comparatively. Looks sleek. XFX logo lights up.

Cons: Huge. Make sure you have a large case. Might be large enough that sag could be an issue.

Overall Review: I cranked everything up in Metro 2033 in DX11 to see what I would get. I was averaging 70-80 FPS with occasional dips into the 40s when paired with a 4690k. Amazing.
