This review is from: Crucial 1GB 200-Pin DDR SO-DIMM DDR 333 (PC 2700) Laptop Memory Model CT12864X335
Pros: Sale price was very good, worked perfectly, cheap upgrade to keep an older computer running well for business.
Cons: Did not solve 'out of memory issue' with MS Works (but that is not the fault of the product)
Other Thoughts: Sale price of just over $20 each made 2 Gb memory upgrade attractive for my old workhorse Averatec laptop under XP Pro. This laptop is essential for our business billing with MS Works because Works databases can't be exported to MS Office without rebuilding the database (only data can be transferred). I had been getting out of memory errors and hoped that doubling memory would solve the problem. It did not, but I am still very happy with the upgrade. The laptop boots faster and runs better than ever with the added memory and a new SSD (Transcend TS64GPSD330 2.5" 64GB PATA - also from Newegg).READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: LaCie 500GB Rikiki Portable External Hard Drive USB 3.0 Model 301949 Black
Pros: Unpacked, loaded the software, runs like a charm, very cheap.
Cons: Should be able to run without special software (I haven't tried that yet.)READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Fast delivery, inexpensive with rebate ($30 MIR) easy clone for upgrade to daughter's workhorse Gateway TA7 tablet. Much faster - she is very happy (what else really matters? Oh, that's right, getting the rebate - I will update on that later). Cloned it with Acronis using Theraltake Blacx USB. Changed out the drives and it worked perfectly.
Cons: None, really, just don't lose the little slip of paper with the keycode for free cloning software, like I did.
Other Thoughts: Just copncerned about actually getting the MIR, since I have been stiffed before.READ FULL REVIEW
