This review is from: DIY Gaming 15.4" Screen Notebook
Pros: The chassis is well designed and feels satisfyingly solid, comes with a high quality printed manual with very clear pictures for those not familiar with how to assemble a notebook, LCD panel is crisp, performance is quite good though this can depend on the rest of your build. Accessory kit is very well packed in foam, it almost seems over padded, though im not going to complain about this ;). Keyboard gives an audible and satisfying clack that has a well built feel to it.
Cons: The logo on the back of the LCD panel is just a metal sticker/decal that partialy came off during unpacking and removal of protective packing films and it cut my finger. I will probably remove this completely before too long. To me this is a minor thing though, so i didnt count it against the overall score. It would be nice if this was a plastic/engraved logo so i could show off my OCZ gear.
Other Thoughts: Touchpad on a gaming laptop is kinda a funny concept, but since it has built in bluetooth get yourself a good bluetooth mouse. P8600 2.4ghz core2 intel CPU, 320gb Seagate SATAII HDD, 4gb G.Skill RAM. Solid performance, very decent laptop for the price. Wish more companies would get into the barebones notebook market. Though for whats available from OCZ im not complaining on quality. Overall, i wouldnt mind buying another one or two for the price.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Spore PC Game
Pros: Cell stage and creature stage are very fun and satisfying. There is a HUGE amount of customization that can be done. You can make nearly anything you can dream of. With multiple methods of play it makes your first playthrough very memorable. Graphics do a very good job considering the complexity of how you can customize your creature. Creature building mechanics are very well tuned and feel very fulfilling when you get things how you like.
Cons: Tribal and civ stages feel like a very slimmed down RTS with no real challenge to them and extremely limited game mechanics. AI is minimal at best during all stages. The only well developed system is the building mechanic for each stage. The space stage gets downright aggrivating with the constant alerts from even a small number of planets (6-7) eventualy leaving you to decide if you just want to leave your colonies to die off. It got so tedious answering all these micro-management-issues that its impossible to actualy attempt to progress through ANYTHING eventualy leading me away from completing the game. The stages leading up to space fairing are far too quick, easily passed through in a single sitting. DRM is a joke. I understand wanting to protect your product, but the tighter your grip, the more it will push people away and hurt those attempting to be honest.
Other Thoughts: A very good attempt that if constrained to one stage and more thoroughly polished would make an amazing game, comes up very lacking when compiled together. With the DRM as harsh as it is and the overal lack of enjoyable gameplay during the primary stage (space) i would recomend passing this by untill a sequal is released that hopefully addresses the fundamental issues plagueing this game. Overall, an honest attempt that just needs more.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: AMC CVG-6MM 6 ft. VGA Male to Male External Monitor Cable
Pros: Cables make strong pin connection to PC. Cable screws are strong with good grips and seat well once installed. Quality of materials is good and has lasted well in the 2+ years of ownership. Rubberized insulation wears well and doesnt run into cracking problems that can occur with some plastic cable insulators. Cabeling is flexible and easy to work with.
Cons: Rubberized cable insulation can catch a little against other cables in a tight space. Though this is an extremely minor issue and could just be me nit-picking.
Other Thoughts: For the price, this is a very good cable that has served me well.READ FULL REVIEW
