Pros: Snappy performance, nice looking shell (even if you never see it), current interface speeds. Excellent price for the capacity.
Cons: My USB3 dock wouldn't recognize the drive. My older USB2 dock did, and so does the machine it went in. Obviously a fault of the dock chipset, but I have to put something in this box, so...
Other Thoughts: Put this in my Alienware Alpha. Boots in a few seconds, launches games faster than any optical drive console ever could.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Picked up two of these, both are FW505 models from Taiwan. They're very snappy, Windows install was well under 10 minutes. Included a 9.5mm adapter for laptop bays. I haven't benched them, but they're ever bit as snappy as my Sammy 840.
Cons: The insanely strong plastic clamshell.
Other Thoughts: Couldn't pass up the mystery price on these, and I'm very happy to have gotten the 505 versions from Taiwan, after reading about how the 506 from China are so much slower. Shipped from the warehouse in TN if that helps anyone.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Tiny footprint. Excellent uniformity/saturation. No dead/stuck pixels. The power/sleep light points downward, so you won't get blinded by it. Great price for its class. Doesn't feel flimsy. Has one step up from a TN panel... the viewing angles are pretty good.
Cons: No HDMI port
Other Thoughts: Replaced an old Sammy 27" with this and I can't believe the difference. I was expecting a flat, washed-out looking panel at this price point and I have little experience with this MFR. I'm very pleasantly surprised. I knew in advance there was no HDMI before hand, just thought it was strange in this day and age to have a 27" LCD with no HDMI port.READ FULL REVIEW
