WD Red 3TB NAS Hard Disk Drive - 5400 RPM Class SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache 3.5 Inch - WD30EFRX

Pros: I have 2 drives and they work great. Very fast and you can't even hear them running over the rest of the system. I'm very happy with them.

Cons: More expensive then Blue drives, but if they last longer and use less power, than I'm fine with that.

3 out of 5 eggs There are better ways to give a gift card 09/23/2013

This review is from: $25 Gift Card (Email Delivery)

Pros: Redeemable
Wide selection

Cons: Where you can redeem it aren't great choices

Other Thoughts: I wouldn't buy one as there are better gift cards to get for someone. I got this free with a purchase but other than Steam there wasn't anything in the selection that I cared for. Not really worth it.

ASUS TS Mini SOHO Home Server w/ Intel Atom N280 1.66GHz 1GB DDR2 500GB HDD installed, powered by Windows Home Server

Pros: Great little box for backing up data. Works well with all the computers in my house. I really like the small size, which also limits the HDD space to two drives, but I can live with that. Silent.

Cons: I had a hard time doing the initial setup. The disc that came with it was outdated and wouldn't work. Had to connect to the VGA port. This has a 32bit only processor and the next version of Windows Home Server will require a 64bit. If you would like to upgrade, look elsewhere. Otherwise a good choice.

Other Thoughts: I am happy that I got it, but if I had known that Microsoft will produce an update to the software, I would have looked for a 64bit processor. As the day draws nearer to the release of "Vail," this product makes less and less sense. Hopefully ASUS will produce an updated version.
