Pros: I have found this board to be very good, but it has quirks. Lets start by listing things i actually really like about it.
-The Killer internet, while gimicky, is a nice feature but what do you expect from something with GODLIKE written on it. My router can be a pain to things plugged in to ethernet so having two ethernet and the wifi connected at all times gives a flawless connection (most of the time see cons). It also does lightly lower latency however this isn't easily measurable 300/300 Fios and at worst a 7ms ping to verizon and at best a 1ms ping.
-The audio quality is phenomenal, and the Nahemic software makes the audio experience night and day with the push of the on and off button. As well it can really drive headphones as it has a 600Ohm amp built in, that you switch on the mother board for front headphone, or quarter inch rear. (See cons for the quirks)
-Bluetooth works wonderfully
-i recently added an MSI GTX 1080 Seahawk X to it and with my 5960X, and 32GB of 3000 ram and according to 3DMark its faster than 90% of other PCs.
-The red LED light bars look amazing and really make it a spectacle at night with all the corsair white.
-Overclocks well but definitely see cons for this one.
There are probably more perks, i just can't remember every feature this board has. All in all i would recommend this to someone but they do need to be ready for it.
Cons: Okay so the board does do everything very well, the problem is it takes coaxing to do it.
-The killer internet driver is an absolute nightmare to get working. The motherboard comes with a driver update utility that is actually very helpful aside from popping up unexpectedly in the background, however you get two options for killer network driver and for me neither worked. I had to get mine directly from the killer networking site to get it to work, and every so often (about once every other week) the computer doesn't recognize the ethernet ports, or any connections in the area, it wont connect to the internet. A simple restart has fixed this each time but it can be quite annoying.
-The switch on my board doesn't seem to work, i initially plugged into the quarter inch rear jack, switched it to rear and it didn't work. plugged into the front and while switched to rear the power came out the front. When switched to front it still comes out the front. It'd be nice to have the rear jack but its easier to plug headphones into the front anyway.
-The biggest con has to be overclocking with this. I am not the most experienced with overclocking, and generally i prefer using in windows tuner apps (this board for some reason comes with 3 so you get a choice). I however had to use bios to get my ram working at speed. This took me at least an hour of work, and i still don't know how i did it. The board refused to boot with the ram any faster than 1866 for at least an hour and any settings that actually would have made a difference if changed were grayed out. It recently crashed on boot and reset the overclock settings and i have yet to deal with getting it back to 3000. My video card however overclocks like crazy on this board and with MSI Afterburner i've seen it boost up to 1982Mhz.
Other Thoughts: All in all, it is not a perfect board and if an MSI tech reads this i would love some help with the audio and the network drivers. But i do recommend this board. I can't personally say its better or worse than its competition because i don't have the money to drop on multiple 500 dollar motherboards and all the other parts for the computers.
For reference my full build is
Corsair Obsidian 900D
MSI Godlike mobo
Corsair HXi 1000i PSU
Corsair H100i GTX Liquid Cooler
MSI GTX 1080 SeaHawk X
8 x 4GB Corsair Dominator Platinum DDR4 3000
Samsung 850Pro 1TB
Samsung 950Pro 256GB M.2 Boot drive (Get this for any m.2 slot its the best thing ever)
Seagate Hybrid Drive 4TB
Western Digital Black 1TB
Side notes: If you can't tell i will swear by corsair gear and samsung SSD's. I have never had a problem with anything from corsair and the H100i and corsair link is amazing. The white accents are extremely aesthetically pleasing and if you don't like white the led's in the H100i and the SeaHawk are RGB and the ram have separately sold different LED bars.
Pros: High Airflow and plenty of room to work with.
Cons: Despite having the mounting points for a 240mm radiator or 280mm radiator it actually DOES NOT have enough room. It is slightly raised up and therefor the h100i can't mount directly to the case easily (i had to use slightly longer screws and let it hang a bit lower) and then the rear i/o is inset and interferes with the rear fan on the radiator.
Other Thoughts: In the end i was able to hook it all up with some friends with zip ties. Yes the rear fan is not totally on the radiator however it still runs very cool.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Trident Kraken AMS Green Case For Samsung Galaxy S III AMS-I9300-TG
Pros: - It looks fantastic
- The kickstand is great, no longer do i have to hold my phone to watch videos.
- So far it has been durable, but i try to avoid dropping my phone.
Cons: - The silicon inner case traps in the heat from my phone and it can get pretty warm in my pocket.
- When i got it i had to pry the kickstand open with a screwdriver, when closed i had to again pry it open but after i filed it down a little it works fine.
Other Thoughts: Good case, i recommend this case to my friends, and i recommend it to everyone who has a galaxy s III. So far it has held up great but the highest i dropped it from was three feet, and the kickstand is pretty cool.READ FULL REVIEW
