3850 refurb
Pros: good proc
Cons: none
Overall Review: Dear New Egg, Why on earth would I buy this item refurbished for more money than you are selling it for brand new from the factory? one hundred five for the refurb, and ninetynine plus another ten off for the new one. Do you really expect to sell this?
One SATA Cable?! Seriously?!
Pros: Pretty packaging.
Cons: ONE SATA Cable? SERIOUSLY? One SATA Cable? In the whole box? Cheap jerks!
Overall Review: I got this board for a build that I was doing for someone. I haven't powered it up yet, because I have to go get more SATA cables. It came with 1 IDE and 1 SATA. So if you're like everyone else who shops on this site and buy OEM hard drives and DVD drives, be aware. Also, every case I have ever seen...and I mean EVER...has a 3 pin Power LED (positivee pin, space, negative pin). Yet this board has a 2 pin spot for the Power LED. Just another pain. By Military class they must be referring to the most inept moments in military history. You know, Waterloo, Custer's Last stand, the whole Vietnam war, Somalia, oh and Operation Enduring Freedom.
Bigger is NOT better!
Pros: It looks like it would REALLY cool a processor well. It lights up which looks really nice.
Cons: It's way too big for the ATX Mid tower case that I bought.
Overall Review: I got this HSF for a gaming rig that I am building for a friend. I thought that the light up HSF would be a nice touch. It doesn't come close to fitting in the case. I think that the only kind of case it would fit in is a very large server case. I had to go the the brick and mortor competition to get a new HSF, and the only one they had is the same style as this. Looks like this one's little sister. That one barely fits the case too. In fact, I had to remove the fan on the door of the case because it got in the way. Just so you know, this is not a small case. This vertical radiator design really stinks. Now I have to go RMA this thing.
Works great!!!!!
Pros: It's exactly what I needed. I have a set top box in a cabinet under the tv. Prior to this device I needed to keep the cabinet door open to change channels. The base station comes with an extension wire and stickers that go right over the IR sensor on the set top box. I put the base station in the cabinet with the set top box, and the receiver right next to the tv. It works perfectly. Just what I needed, now I can keep the cabinet door shut and still change channels, use the DVR, etc.
Cons: When you first power on the set top box, there is a slight delay when you change channels, but this clears up within about 30 seconds. Not a big deal at all.
Overall Review: Great product. Does what I need it to do for a very good price compared to other options. No need to buy a seperate remote and go through the hassel of programing it. This device is just ready to go right out of the box, and works with any IR remote.
Cool Game
Pros: This is a really fun game, and If you like to bang your head like I do, then you will enjoy rocking out to songs like Number of the Beast and Reign in Blood.
Cons: I got it for Christmas, and the wireless didn't work.
Overall Review: my girlfriend got me this game for christmas from a store that sounds like "Lame Flop." What a mistake that was. They have a rediculous policy where you only get a week from the day of purchase to return defective merchandise. They wanted me to contact the manufacturer on line. That is rediculous at Christmas time. I had to really pitch a fit to get them to take it back. And they would only give store credit. If you are going to buy this game, buy it from New Egg. I have never had a problem with New Egg taking an item back. They rock. Stay away from "Lame Flop" they stink. Oh and New Egg is like five bucks cheaper, and a the time that I am writing this, shipping is free.
