ASUS VENTO 3600 Red Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

4 out of 5 eggs Lots of room 01/21/2010

This review is from: ASUS VENTO 3600 Red Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Lots of room inside for ventilation and access. Very eye catching design. I bought the case for my daughters computer and she loves it

Cons: Plastic shell feels cheap and you can see the LEDs through the plastic. the front of the case is a different shade of red from the rest of the case. Door doesn't stay closed as the spring loaded clip is missing a piece. Have to contact ASUS directly to see if they have the part.

Other Thoughts: This is a very large case so if you are looking for something compact this is not it. Paint the case before putting all your parts inside to fix the mismatched color and LED problem. Otherwise this is a real fun case for those bored with plain boxes

GIGABYTE GA-EP43-UD3L LGA 775 Intel P43 ATX Intel Motherboard

2 out of 5 eggs Not for me 08/20/2009

This review is from: GIGABYTE GA-EP43-UD3L LGA 775 Intel P43 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: Great price, easy setup, great Bios features. Ran very fast without overclocking.

Cons: Have gone through 2 of these boards within 20 days. Both times going into SATA controller failure within 10 days each board. Then refusing to even go into the bios. I liked the mother board when it was working but even without overclocking this board does not seem to be "Ultra Durable" I also noticed poor locations for the chassis fan connections as they are on the highest part of the board

Other Thoughts: I bought these from a local retailer and right now I am very turned off by the Gigabyte brand. I bought this because of the price and wanted to use a quad core cpu. I threw in my old Asus P5N32-SLI Premium and as ussual with the same components is running flawlessly (just not as fast) Guess I will be sticking with the Asus brand for awhile longer as I have had the best experience with their motherboards
