5 out of 5 eggs Works with Time Warner Ultimate 09/01/2014

This review is from: ARRIS SURFboard SB6141 8x4 DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem

Pros: This works great with the Time Warner Ultimate speeds in my area, 50mbps/down and 5/mbps up. I frequently peak well above both of those numbers. Time Warner recently claimed they were no longer supporting this modem. If you are told this, DON'T believe them. Mine still works despite their technician claiming it was no longer supported. They even still give these out to customers.

Cons: No complaints. It works flawlessly.

CyberPower CP1500PFCLCD - PFC Sinewave UPS Systems - Pure Sine Wave | 100% Active PFC Compatible with USB Charging Ports

Pros: I love this thing. It works. Plain and simple. The digital display is great and very accurate with current power usage.

Cons: Doesn't go on sale very often, but the price is still good. It would be nice if it had two or more USB connections so it could be hooked to multiple machines and have them power down automatically. I don't know if there are any UPS's that have this though.

Intel NUC Kit D34010WYK1, Mini HDMI, Mini DisplayPort, USB 3.0, 4th Gen Intel Core i3-4010U, Consumer Infrared sensor

Pros: Super Small. Barely Audible. Plenty of Power.

Cons: Wouldn't Mind If It Was Cheaper. Wireless Antenna Weak.

Other Thoughts: Seriously this NUC is great. I was torn between this unit and the i5 version. Glad I saved the extra $100. I use this only for XBMC and can use hardware decoding or software decoding with no issues. It plays every file format I throw at it without frames dropping. I might buy a couple more to replace my other units. My only real complaint is that the wireless antenna has terrible reception. I picked up the Intel Dual Band 802.11ac unit and I get almost no signal on 5ghz with my router in the room directly below this but full signal on the 2.4ghz band.
