XIGMATEK FCB (Fluid Circulative Bearing) Cooling System Crystal Series CLF-F1255 120mm Purple LED Case Fan, 2 pcs in 1 package CFS-SXGJS-PU2

  • neweggOwned For: 1 week to 1 month

Pros: Hands down one of the sweetest fan colors I have ever seen.
Vibrant violet when "naked," deep purple when paired with dark mesh fan filters.

Cons: This set replaced my Cooler Master 120mm fans (blue LED twin pack R4-L2S-122B-GP) on the top of my white Corsair 500R. Same screws.

Was immediately struck by how much louder the Xigmateks are!

Both fan twin packs state they run at 20 db or less...with these Xigmatek fans, I don't buy it!

My case went from being a nearly silent machine to having a very noticeable vrrrrrr sound.

If you already have noisy fans, getting these will give you lots of relief. If you already had a near-silent machine...disappointment.

Other Thoughts: The LED lights are not very bright. which is either a pro, or a con, depending on what you like.

Thermaltake AC0018 ExtremeSpeed 3.0
  • neweggOwned For: 1 day to 1 week

1 out of 5 eggs Are you kidding me? 01/10/2014

This review is from: Thermaltake AC0018 ExtremeSpeed 3.0

Pros: None. Buy this for somebody you hate.

Cons: I was shocked when I opened the box. There's a reason why they are hiding all of the cord ends in the photographs. This is an internal component...but_the_two_USB_cords_are_the_external_type. Male! They are for plugging into the *outside* of a computer. Not the motherboard! I kid you not! The diagram to install this even shows the cords *sticking out of a hole* in the back of the case, and plugging into USB slots in the rear of the computer. (Yeah, that's right, no motherboard header connectors.) In order to plug it into your motherboard, you'd have to buy an adapter: which can cost you anywhere from $4-12, depending on if you pay shipping. I already wasted my money on an adapter: and still couldn't make it work. I don't know if the Thermaltake is what is bad, or the USB adapter - I'm not going to spend another dime on this junk, it's just going in the trash.

Other Thoughts: It's like Thermaltake wanted to troll their customers.

ADATA XPG Gaming Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model AX3U1600GB2G9-2G
  • Verified Owner
  • neweggOwned For: more than 1 year

Pros: AData may not have a cool name, but that's fine with me because they're the best-kept secret of system builders and gamers.

Who would have thought that these days you could find a company that designs a great product, with good quality control, and at an affordable price! Call the police because that's just not legal anymore! XD

I build for myself, family and friends, and I can happily say I've never come across a bad AData stick. Always passes MemTest with flying colors.

Their laptop memory is good as well. Give them a try, you won't be sorry.

Cons: None!

Other Thoughts: AMD Phenom II 555 BE Callisto
Gigabyte 880GA-UD3H
nVidia 8800GTX
