This review is from: MSI 970A-G43 AM3+ AMD 970 + SB950 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard
Cons: Neglected to provide MOSFET heatsink
It Will Not Last LONG...
Other Thoughts: Purchased This Board With The Understanding that it was military Class Caps And Really Good Quality. But Upon Further Inspection Realized NO VRM Protection at all. For All Those Who do not know what that is. The MOSFETS That Run Next To The CPU approximately 20 of them are left with no protection. The Most important part of the board that supply the proper voltage.
If I could get in touch with an MSI representative that would be great. I was interested in buying an OEM MOSFET heatsink from an MSI 970a G46. They get very hot even when not using the system extensively and I'm worried the board may not last long due to this. A heatsink would make me feel a lot better about this and probably extend the life of the board a little bit.
