Rosewill BLACKHAWK Gaming ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Five (5) Preinstalled Fans, Side Window Panel, Top HDD Dock
  • Verified Owner
  • neweggOwned For: more than 1 year

Pros: Big Case, tool-less drive trays, lots of drive trays, lots of fans, nice looking, side window

Cons: Doesn't fit larger CPU coolers like the Noctua NH-D15 and doesn't fit AIO Liquid coolers like the H100 Corsair AIO. The dust filters are hard to take off and put back on and are relatively useless it seems. The front and top fans are difficult to take off without taking the entire case apart. The cable management area behind the motherboard is thin and therefore difficult to do clean cable management with it. The side window fan can not be used with larger CPU coolers and produces an annoying cable infront of the side window. All of the fans running is relatively loud, and are all plugged into the PSU and not the Mobo. The front panel USB on the case are difficult to be plugged in to.

Other Thoughts: Is a good case if you just want a basic build. If you are thinking about upgrading into nicer components you might want to rethink a case since there is not much space in this case.

Corsair Vengeance K70 Mechanical Gaming Keyboard - Red LED - Cherry MX Red Switches
  • neweggOwned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: The keyboard is awesome especially with the switches, my friends also like it. I like how it has a usb on it so I can plug in anything really. I think the media keys with the volume thing is nice also.

Cons: So the big problem I have with this keyboard and the reason I took an egg off and was thinking of taking another off is because after 3 months of using the keyboard, some of the backlight went out and what ever I tried did not come back and this keyboard doesn't have any type of warranty with out buying it so looks like I am stuck with some keys without a backlight. Other than that, I think the wrist rest could be a bit longer or so, atleast doesn't fit to how I would like it. Doesn't have any macro keys which doesn't matter to me because I have a gaming mouse with lots of macros. It also doesn't have any audio jacks on it :(.

MSI Z87-G45 Gaming LGA 1150 Intel Z87 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Pro Gaming with Killer Networking & Sound Blaster Intel Motherboard
  • neweggOwned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: So this motherboard is nice, it was easy to install and everything into my case and connect everything. I didn't have any problems in this case. Not really sure what else I would need from it since it fits my needs. But I am not really here to talk how good it is, I think this is a nice motherboard but something is wrong with mine.

Cons: --This is semi a story, skip to the end to get a basic rundown of some problems-- So first day, my computer is built after all the parts came, I was all excited and I go to install everything. I was using Windows 8 and installed the drivers and then about half way through my computer would blue screen and everything on the hard drive was lost. I was so confused and I tried again. This happened multiple times so I just gave up. I then decided to install each driver individually (Note:These are FOR the motherboard AND Windows 8 COMPATIBLE) until my computer blue screened and I had to restart. I tried multiple hard drives on each one and finally I got to a point I could kind of use it normally (the problem wasn't the hard drive). Then next day, my friend also building a computer he has a cheaper MSI board and he has Windows 8 with the same drivers and has no problem with it (he has the same computer except for motherboard) and I was so confused. Since I was building a gaming computer, I have to play some games right? Well too bad any game I played would crash (blue screen) my computer in about 5 minutes of playing it one Windows 8 with a problem of "Drivers less or equal" or something. So I go out and buy Windows 7 because I would guess that maybe there are some bugs with Windows 8 drivers. I install everything and as far as I remember I had not as many problems (This was about 6 months ago) installing everything. But I am pretty sure I don't have all the drivers because there was a problem with that and they were all the intel drivers. I feel/am rambling on so I will get to it. My motherboard had problems installing drivers on both Win7/8 and it blue screens atleast every week. I finally got around to making this because I just got 2 bluescreens in 1 day and about like 5 this week (most I have ever gotten other than when I was installing the drivers). Yeah so I would recommend this motherboard if these problems are just my motherboard being faulty.

Other Thoughts: Wish I realized there was a problem earlier and RMA'd it or something but I have never RMA'd anything and I just wanted something to use. I have had this motherboard for 6 months and its problems have kept up. I got a total of 5 blue screens this week which made me get around to making this. Nice motherboard if it worked well. From how my friends is working I wish I went with his with it being cheaper and working (also by MSI).
