This review is from: LG 25UM56-P 25” Class 21:9 UltraWide IPS Gaming Monitor 5ms 2560 x 1080 5ms GTG 60Hz 5,000,000:1 Contrast Ratio with Black Stabilizer and Dynamic Action Link, SRGB Over 99% and 4-Screen Split
Pros: Man, I mean its sexy and sleek. Im amazed by the colors. It beats my other two displays hands down. The ultra wide is really a unique experience. I wish I had two more.
Cons: This isnt NewEgg fault. When watching movies, not all movies play in 21:9 mode. The black bars leech light from the LED backlight through the black in all four corners and is distracting. I fault monitor design for this. For the price though ($149) I can deal with it. Not acceptable for a high price monitor. I take off one egg for this flaw.
Other Thoughts: If you are looking for a cheap intro into ultra wide screens, this cant be beat for the price. Its not a true gaming monitor as its only 60hz and 5ms response. Simply out dated specs. I do, however, recommend this product because the colors are just fantastic and it looks so beautiful. I would certainly buy 2 more for a surround video experience until I can afford higher quality ultra wide displays. LG is also a respectable brand.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Cheap, cheap and CHEAP. My rig is a music studio rig - not intended for gaming but I do a little gaming on it from time to time. I was using my APU for gaming which got the job done but I wanted a little more "umph" but not spend a lot of cash. This puppy did the trick. 60+ fps on ESO at high video settings. Ultra drops it to 30's but I was happy with high settings. APU ran 20 and under on medium settings.
Cons: I cant find a single problem with the card. Install was smooth because my APU also used catalyst drivers. Seemless transition.
Other Thoughts: I got mine at Tiger Direct because there is a local store where Im at and it was on sale - less than NewEgg with shipping cost.
Great card for the price point if you arent a heavy gamer and fragger. Beats an APU hands down and its quiet! I use a coolermaster water cooler for my CPU and at full load, I cant hear the card fan over my water cooler fan. Bottom line - "just do it - get it"
This review is from: PLANTRONICS Marque M155 Black Bluetooth Headset
Pros: Shipping was EXTREMELY fast for eggsaver (free shipping). Was on sale.
Cons: Just like any other BT earpiece out there. Died within 2 weeks. Warranty expired only 2 weeks after owning it.
Other Thoughts: Ive never had luck with any bluetooth headset - even higher end ones. Either hardware failures or never fit well or no one could understand me when I would talk thru it. I quit buying them. After a few years I figured the tech got better on them. I saw it on sale and read the reviews. High percentage of great reviews. I got it. Initially it worked great. Fit well. People could understand me. I thought this was the one for me. Within 2 weeks it dies out of nowhere. No power no nada. I try and RMA thru newegg and it says its warranty is already expired but can still get a replacement for $10 shipping. I dont think so. I went to Plantronics. They rejected it because my receipt doesnt match my purchase date and its clearly stamped on the receipt. So it looks like I will go back to never owning a BT head set ever again. Dont buy this one.
Nice one, NewEgg. Thats why it went on sale, right? Manufacturer warranty was about to expire so you had to dump 'em fast. This will make me think twice before buying items you put on sale.....
