BUFFALO DriveStation Axis 3TB USB 3.0 External Hard Drive HD-LB3.0TU3 Black
  • Verified Owner
  • neweggOwned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: 3TB storage, USB 3.0, Fairly inexpensive

Cons: Drive operated fine through ocasional use for 4 months. I was swapping between this drive and one other 3TB for my workstation backup. Worked fine for its last backup, but when plugging it in the next time it wouldn't power up.

Other Thoughts: Buffalo is replacing the drive under warranty, but the customer service was slow with long waits (over 30 min) on hold and no response to my first upload of proof of purchase. I have spent a lot of time getting this exchanged. The better option next time is to use a dedicated hard drive and separate enclosure from another manufacturer that allows online handling of returns with no need to contact support. That's what I've always done in the past.

LINKSKEY LDV-DM02ESK 2-Port Dual Monitor DVI + PS/2 KVM Switch w/ Cables
  • Verified Owner
  • neweggOwned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: I am using this with 2 Samsung LCD monitors set for 1600 x 1200 resolution. I have the Logitech S510 wireless keyboard / mouse. It always switches great and doesn't cause any issues. When I switch between monitors my mouse wheel scroll / zoom initially quits working. This was bothersome until I read the directions giving a hotkey combination ScrollLock - ScrollLock - End that works everytime to reset the mouse instantly. I'm very happy with it, especially after reading up on KVM switches and seeing how oftem people have trouble.

Cons: The cables will likely not be long enough for you.
