Pros: 1. Very good OC.
2. Very low temps!
3. Very very big socket
Cons: 1. Requires lots of thermal paste. DO NOT USE socket 775, 115X sized bean! Use almost twice as much for best temps!
Other Thoughts: My current everyday OC is at 4.5GHz using 1.27v.
Temps under 60 with 120.2 custom loop.
Since the lid is so wide, to better take advantage of soldered tim, you need to apply lots of thermal paste. Do not use sdocket 775, 115X sized bean. and i recommend actually spreading it a little bit. My temps dropped full 20 degrees within 10 minutes with no change in freq or volts all thanks to that.
Mine can actually be pushed to 4.7 with prime95 stable, but runs too hot at 80~85C. I think i would maybe have that as daily driver after I upgrade raddage within couple weeks.
Pros: 5 USB Ports
Cons: Real Other thoughts!
Does not work as advertised
You never get same voltage from the same port
If you have "charging on/off" sound, you might hear spasms of it.
Other Thoughts: I purchased 3 of these from the shellshocker deal.
Arrived in nicely packaged little boxes with no apparent external damage whatsoever. However,
with Samsung OEM cable or XXXXprice premium cables and some generic cheapo cables I am unable to get any of the advertised 2.4A or even 1A out of the universal ports.
Also if i plug in the usb cables all the way in until it clicks and locks on the the port, charger will start emitting faint beeping sound followed by crackle every 5~10 seconds and will not charge and the LED will not stay lit up. USB cable has to be slightly pulled out until the LED lights up and then it starts charging at 500mah on super charger ports and 700 ish on the universal ports.
I have tested using 2 different Galaxy S4s and Original Nexus 7.
This problem seems to be replicated on all 3 of the chargers I have received, thus this may be a design error.
I will be contacting newegg about this issue and will request full refund for these products. I have previously purchased Orico products such as external enclosures with nice build quality, but these chargers are a huge let down.
This review is from: ASUS GX-D1081 V3 Smart 8-Port Gigabit Desktop Switch with Green Network
Pros: Worked fine for few weeks
its a switch.
very easy to install
Cons: after 1 week this constantly needs to be restarted.
will randomly drop clients.
dropped clients would say they are connected to internet but with no connection whatsoever and the only solution is to reset this switch
Other Thoughts: My friend had a good reliable Asus router so i bought this instead of Cisco one to save some bucks. Funny thing is that his router also started doing the same thing right after mine.
I also had Asus powerline adapter that i had to replace with TP-link because it was giving me constant 1mbps up/down with over 300ms pings.
Its not like i'll never buy Asus again, but I will definitely never buy Asus networking gears anymore.
