Pros: I saw the amazing reviews that the 550W received from multiple sites and decided to get one for my new system build. It was plenty of juice for a 6600k i5, 1060, M.2 SSD, SATA HDD, and some case fans.
It came with great packaging, the modular cables were plenty long to get everywhere I needed, and I had no complaints for 50 days.
Cons: After around 50 days I started to get random crashes, at first while gaming, and then even at idle on the desktop. All were kernel-power error 41, task 63 in the event viewer. After messing with RAM slots, USB devices, and video cards, I threw in an old corsair 600w I had sitting around and all problems were solved. I'll be RMAing this and hoping I just got a bad one.
Other Thoughts: I'm pretty disappointed given the high rating this power supply received. This is my first EVGA power supply product and they didn't make a good first impression. Hopefully the RMA goes smoothly.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Excellent cable management, airflow, and appearance. Things are tight inside but everything has its place.
Cons: The small power supply unit that came with this case worked great for quite a while but is now dead after just over 3 years of light use.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Runs in my Intel 975 with a Conroe e6600 and will post at 667 with 3-3-3-10. Will boot into Windows and run programs with occasional errors at 667 5-5-5-15.
Cons: I could not run a Windows XP Pro setup without file copy errors at 667 even with 5-5-5-15 timings. I had to slow things down to 533 with modest timings in order to get an installation done. Voltage was set to 2.1 for all of this, unfortunately my BIOS doesn't allow for any higher settings (975 chipset in a SFF from Shuttle).
Other Thoughts: After reading several reviews and seeing that someone with the same chipset/CPU combo had good results I decided to buy this RAM. Unfortunately, some people seem to be getting good sticks while others of us aren't. I will be contacting Mushkin about it and hopefully getting some RAM that will run without errors at 667.READ FULL REVIEW
