Team Color Turn 8GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive (Purple) Model TG008GE902V3

5 out of 5 eggs Fine budget drive! 05/16/2015

This review is from: Team Color Turn 8GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive (Purple) Model TG008GE902V3

Pros: Benchmark Write=20MB/s Read=38MB/s on a USB3 port; only little slower Write=17MB/s Read=34MB/s on my front panel ports which I'm pretty sure are USB2. I plan to buy more.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Swivel design is not a dust-proof cap. Swivel cap has two small holes for attaching a small lanyard, but no lanyard is included with the product.

Seagate 1.5TB Portable External Hard Drive USB 3.0 Model STBX1500401 Black

Pros: Good value, quiet, lightweight, compact, works fine, fast transfer, bus powered both USB2 and USB3, LED is visible but unobtrusive.

Cons: No rubber feet, wants to slide around.

Other Thoughts: Wish Seagate offered some free backup software to go with external HDD, maybe they do haven't really explored their website. This drive is a lot lighter than my 2TB WD MyPassport. Really wanted a bigger 3TB-4TB unit, but haven't found something satisfactory.

ASUS GeForce 210 DirectX 10.1 EN210 SILENT/DI/1GD3/V2(LP) 1GB 64-Bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 Low Profile Ready Video Card

  • neweggOwned For: more than 1 year

Pros: Silent (no fan). Worked fine for 18 months.

Cons: Started having problems at 18 months. Using in dual screen setup, one VGA, one DVI. The VGA monitor started having problems showing hover-popup-screen tips. Replaced it with older card, monitor is fine. The DVI monitor started having problems, would go blank for ~5-10s a couple of times within first half hour of a session. After 1-2 months got annoyed enough to replace.

Other Thoughts: In my experience graphics cards last longer than this.
