This review is from: ASUS P8Z77-V PRO LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
Pros: nice style, wanted for fan controls, everything fit
Cons: sli bridge, no xfire bridge, see comments below
Other Thoughts: I purchased this board to replace a bad Biostar board . After installing everything, the fan controls aren't working. The Biostar board had the same fans running 1500-1800 rpm, the Asus board had them running 500-560 rpm. I tried to reinstall my os and every other reboot kept getting cpu fan error because the cpu fan rpms were so low, and they would not change in the bios. The AI Suite that came with it would work , then stop working on reboot, i download the updated software and drivers from Asus's website, still did not help. Ran test on memory, hdd, tried another cpu as well ( both on supported list). I contacted Newegg, they sent me another one (same model) to exchange, same issues. That's 2 boards with defects. I contacted Asus tech support, they came to the same conclusion. Then they told I WOULD HAVE TO PAY to have shipped to them for repair. I will never try ASUS again after this....READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: good deal at the time
Cons: 6 month owner, now DEAD
Other Thoughts: I bought this motherboard back in Dec 2012. Seemed like a good deal at the time. Research reviews seemed positive. upgraded monitor and motherboard is toast. went to Biostar's website and they are referring me to Newegg to replace. Newegg's policy refers me back to Biostar. Nothing against Newegg, but not happy about this experience with Biostar at all. Now trying to decide to go with an RMA on this board , or try another manufacturer entirely. Either way , lost time and money. Again, NOT HAPPYREAD FULL REVIEW
