1 out of 5 eggs nothing but issues with compatibility with graphics cards 07/09/2013

This review is from: Intel BOXDX79SR LGA 2011 Intel X79 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: bought this mobo back in February, haven't had too many issues with it as I was building my first nice gaming rig,

Cons: did not upgrade graphics card till last week, bought an asus gtx 770 from newegg with a new asus monitor with 144 hz refresh. New graphics card in this series will not work with this mobo.
assembled the new parts to the system per the manuals and fired the thing up and... 0_1 is all that showed up on screen. and the mobo was stuck loading bios. no matter what we did that's all we got. called asus and got nothing from them, called intel and after flashing different bios versions from them while on the phone for 3 hours my mobo turned into a brick, had to rma it back, they did get me a new mobo at the door the next day (july 2nd) again very excited to get my system flying, that mobo was stuck in (b2b mode or back to bios) just went to bios and said press the back to bios button it, it was in, we tried it several ways. we also discovered while on the phone with intel that none of the usb ports in the back worked. double fail. so now I have 329 dollars tied up with the first mobo I sent in to get the new one back to me quickly and I get my money back when the first one gets there. and I did not have the money to do a quick rma on the second mobo so it is still sitting here waiting on the plastic cap that goes over the processor hole so I don't get rejected for my third motherboard. but whats even better im seeing threads everywhere saying 700 series cards will not work with this motherboard, so now im not sure what to do if I finally get a good motherboard from intel.
