Pros: Signal strength is quite acceptable.
Is compatible with some 3rd-party firmware like TomatoUSB
Cons: Mislabeled DD-WRT compatibility. v1 of this router is compatible, but you are buying v2 which is not.
TomatoUSB isn't BAD, but it does lack proper implementation of unbridged wireless client/repeater mode, at least on this router.
Other Thoughts: To NewEgg/Netgear: If you're going to market this as DD-WRT compatible, you need to verify this with the developers of the firmware. There is a whole WNR3500L v2 compatibility thread at their website where they repeatedly ask for some donated hardware to properly build support for this router.
This thread dates back to 2012; there is no excuse for your inaccurate and misleading listing.
We buy DD-WRT routers for a specific reason, when your products are mislabeled, it wastes everyone's time.
