Reinstalled Windows 7
Pros: I have built 3 of these for different customers. I replaced the terabyte hdd with SSD and the Samsung drive was good enough to put in a caddy for a backup. Awesome machines. Not sure about it with 8.1 I have made it work for other customers, I prefer windows 7, more useable with less waste, imo.
Cons: It does not come with a windows 7 coa. grin
Overall Review: If you want a decent quad core in a laptop this one is great for most everything except high end gaming, but then who wants a laptop for that?
Can not upgrade
Pros: Very fast very capable, very thin and light. Can not access hard drive or ram without voiding the warranty. Directed a friend to buy this and set it up for her. It was an oversight on my part I watched the video on New Egg after she bought this or I would have had her get an ASUS.
Cons: First time I ever looked at a longer warranty as a minus. Comes with a 128 gig Adata hdd. I was planning on upgrading to better ram and better drives for her that is not an option. Very poor design if I can not upgrade it the value is much less much faster.
Second of these boards I have used in a build
Pros: Clearly marked and worked excellent for the customers needs.
Cons: None
Great case nice design no bay for DVDRW drive
Pros: Great for cable management, nice design. A few flaws.
Cons: No vent fan on top of case, no spot for DVDRW
Overall Review: If you don't need to run a DVDRW drive or need a top fan vent this case is awesome.
Muskin rocks
Pros: I have been working on computers for 15 years Muskin was top of the line for ram so it makes sense since these drives are ram driven that Muskin would be on this too. We have used Muskin drives since finding that they made SSD's.
Cons: none
Overall Review: These drives are my first pick when searching for hard drives and I buy these more than any other ssd. Great drives reasonably priced and we have probably bought around a hundred of these and only returned one. I'd say that is amazing!
Works with dell caddies
Pros: Affordable, the right size to work with caddies hard to find them that are not too short.
Cons: Cheap plastic, it is an SSD Drive they do not need much support or cushion, no moving parts. So it is not really a con.
Overall Review: I bought two for the ssd's I bought for dell builds which have a caddy. Now that I am sure they will work I will buy more.
