NZXT LEXA S LEXS - 001BK Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
  • neweggOwned For: more than 1 year

4 out of 5 eggs It's a case 07/29/2013

This review is from: NZXT LEXA S LEXS - 001BK Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Well, as stated. It's a case. It has some nice features with the fan control, flashy lights, etc. It'll fit the necessities for sure. There's no problem mounting fans, two GPU's would fit with a little effort, and there is cable management. However, I did have this case 2 years strong with essentially no problems until now.

Cons: With that said, capability is not mastery. Yes, you CAN fit fans on the top / back. Easily. You could probably even fit an h60 / h80 depending on your MOBO. However, if you wanted to get something like an h100i, or even institute some sort of push/pull system on the afformentioned, you'd need a different case. Also, the case has cable management, but its not the BEST in the world. The back area is tight, and there's only two holes for you to tuck the wires into where other larger cases have upwards of 4 and a wider area in the back. With that said, if you don't have at the very least a semi modular PSU you will have a VERY difficult time managing your cables and if you do want this case it is a very smart investment. Also, having bought this case because I like glowy things, I was pretty upset when I realized my current set up doesn't really have the ability to fit a 12 inch cathode light kit. Finally, having recently purchased an SSD, the 2.5 in bay adapters the case comes with don't really work. It's hard to explain, but it's quite awkward and I had to insert it backwards which interfered with my cable management which was already a problem to begin with.

Other Thoughts: I never did get the fan controls to work. That's not a con, but at the time of building the computer I wasn't too experienced and I never got around to trying to figure it out. Also, one of the stock fans recently lost a blade spontaneously, just snapped off, lord knows where it went either. Well, that's about as fleshed out a review I can give. It's a solid case, unless you plan on going all out with your build.
