Asus ML228H 21.5
  • Verified Owner
  • neweggOwned For: more than 1 year

Pros: Great looking picture
nice design(for the most part)
havent had a problem yet and have used pretty much non stop for a year plus

Cons: I would knock off 1 egg for the following but i should have known when buying

the terrible 2in plus bar on the bottom of the monitor to hold a 1/2in or smaller set of cap. touch buttons

the stand is a little awkward to use and the whole monitor sits very low, i have a textbook under it to prop it up and still tilt the monitor up

Other Thoughts: pretty much a good monitor, no dead pixel issues or anything

newegg rocks

ASUS P6X58D-E LGA 1366 Intel X58 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
  • Verified Owner
  • neweggOwned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Just a great board that works.
This was my first build and everything went very smooth. Comes with everything you need, Bios is easy to navigate and manual does a good job to get you set up.
You will probably need to browse the internet for details on more advanced topics, if you have not done this before

Cons: can't really call it a con but the asus q-shield thing is somewhat hard to lign up with the rear connectors. maybe it was just the slight difference in my case but the shield is shifted slightly down.

like i said, not really a con since everything can still plug in and its more likely caused by my case than asus

Other Thoughts: asus p6x58d-e
i7 930
corsair force 60gb ssd
spinpoint 1tb
6gb G.skill F3-12800CL8T-6GBRM62532773
xfx radeon 5870
lancool pc-k62

Corsair Force Series 2.5
  • Verified Owner
  • neweggOwned For: 1 week to 1 month

Pros: amazing speed, was getting over specs on ATTO benchmark

saw 290MB reads and 276MB writes

Cons: Be careful, corsair firmware has a couple issues. corsair forums say they are working on the issue but as of now(9/3/10) SMART has problems and i had to disable it on my drive in order to not get an error message.

Also I originally had problems with my pc shutting down by itself, turns out the ssd has problems when your pc goes to sleep or turns off your disks, power saving stuff, etc..

Solved by going high performance and turning off any setting that saves power. so if you are leaving your pc on all day you have to alter settings, could be an issue if you are using a laptop or worried about your power bill.

Other Thoughts: This is a great drive for speed but it has issues. dont know if i would buy this a 2nd time but the problems arent huge and i solved mine.

would have given 3 eggs but the speed makes it 4

Mounting plate did not fit in my Lancool PC-k62 case, did not matter since the bays have screw holes
