5 out of 5 eggs Great product, great cord 11/15/2011

This review is from: Mee audio A151-BK 3.5mm Connector In-Ear Headphone with Balanced Armature Technology

Pros: I'm no headphone expert, but these sound a little better than my old RE0s. Similar general sound - very clean and balanced. Got these on sale, and they were a great deal for nice-sounding budget headphones. The best part: The cord. This weird-looking thing produces NO annoying brushing sound whatsoever, unlike every other in-ear-style headphone I've owned. Seems really sturdy too.

Cons: I listen to music on the bus a lot, and I find the bass gets drowned out compared to some other products. This is not bass-heavy.

PLANTRONICS Over-The-Ear Bluetooth Headset w/ Noise-Cancelling Microphone / Multipoint / Up to 8 Hours Talk Time (Voyager 520)
  • neweggOwned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Comfortable earpiece, stylish-looking

Cons: Bluetooth connection quality is terrible. Constant static. Designed for people that keep their cell phones in their shirt pocket and don't like to move.

Other Thoughts: I bought this from here, refurbished, so perhaps the new product would be higher quality... but the headset I received has such poor sound quality that it's semi-useless. It sounds decent (just decent) if you put your phone on the desk, one or two feet from your ear, and don't move at all. As soon as you move a couple feet away from the phone (even the pants pocket opposite your earpiece is too far), or shift slightly, static is rife. It's not so bad that you can't understand and be understood, but it's really annoying. If you're expecting this to sound like you're talking from your phone, you will probably be disappointed. Other bluetooth headsets sound better for less money.
