Amazing Subwoofer for the price

Polk Audio PSW Series PSW10 Black Subwoofer
Polk Audio PSW Series PSW10 Black Subwoofer

Pros: Sound quality is amazing, the build quality is great, and all around its a great product. Highly recommended if you are looking to get a new SubWoofer. Can't be beat for the price. It thumps and bumps. I have a Onkyo 7.2 Receiver with two 10" Subwoofers. One being a Klipsch the other being the one I am writing a review for. Together they have knocked the pictures and paintings off the neighbors walls. lol... Even a single one is LOUD... This is a real good, loud, and great looking product. If your in the market for a Subwoofer you can not go wrong with this one.

Cons: In all honesty the only thing that would make this better is if it included the speaker wires. Short of that one complaint, this is an amazing Subwoofer for the price.

Overall Review: This is a well made, nice looking, and great subwoofer for the price. You can't go wrong with this one.

Some issues, still nice.

ONKYO TX-SR606 7.1-Channel Black Home Theater Receiver
ONKYO TX-SR606 7.1-Channel Black Home Theater Receiver

Pros: It produces great sound, looks nice and well built. It does not feel as if it was cheaply made. It have a verity of features depending on what you are watching. There are settings for movies, games, TV, sports, concerts, and more. There are enough HDMI ports to connect a TV, gaming system, Blue Ray player, PC's, and pretty much anything you may be able to think of.

Cons: I found that with movies which have a lot of bombs going off, or just plain chaos it tends to be overly loud with sound effects while having hard to hear or poor dialog sound. When you want to watch a movie or show with a lot of sound effects, I found myself having to turn it up and down depending on what was going on, on screen. Example, with a film like District 9 I would have to turn it up to hear the dialog, only to jump when something explodes, or something. At which time I have to turn it down, only to have to turn it up again when dialog comes back on. I also feel the need to mention a MAJOR issue in which the HDMI ports tend to fail after a few months. I mean that I had to either switch ports, or jiggle the cord into the port by pushing it in and out until it was recognized. This was not in just one port, but many. It was a MAJOR issue, being that of the 4-5 HDMI ports all developed the same issue. I would suggest passing on this one, and go with something else with-in the same price range.

Overall Review: I bought this based on a friends suggestion, I will admit at first I was happy with it, however after problem, after problem cropped up I became more disappointed with it, until I reached a point where I had enough money to buy a new receiver. Granted, despite the many issues with this Receiver I ended up going with yet another Onkyo receiver. I bought the ONKYO TX-SR608 7.2-Channel Home Theater Receiver. I went with it due to its ability to support a 7.2 set up. So far it seems to be doing good, though I think its slowly starting to have the same HDMI port issues. I can only hope its the cords and not the receiver.

Onkyo Receiver number 2

ONKYO TX-SR608 7.2-Channel Home Theater Receiver
ONKYO TX-SR608 7.2-Channel Home Theater Receiver

Pros: First, it supports a 7.2 speaker set up which at the time I bought it was one of the few available at the time. It supports a nice number of HDMI, Component, and other inputs and outs. It supports a number of settings, such as Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio, Dolby Digital Plus, DTS-HD, Audyssey DSX and Dolby Pro Logic IIz, THX Select2 Plus. It has 6 HDMI inputs. As well as a number of other in's and outs.

Cons: Like the ONKYO TX-SR606 7.1-Channel Black Home Theater Receiver this one also has issues with clear dialog. As in if your watching a movie with a lot of sound effects which come across as LOUD which sadly drowns out the dialog. So you may find yourself having to turn it up & down as the film plays. Which is uncalled for. I mean for the price, it should have clear dialog with good sound effects. You can use settings to change things around, however if you don't have a real good high end center channel speaker, you will have a hard time finding a setting which plays clear dialog with out being drowned out by the sound effects.

Overall Review: .This is the second Onkyo product I bought through NewEgg. While the first one became a disaster with in the first few months with all the HDMI inputs beoming loose, or unable to recognize the HDMI while connected. Which means I was always having to plug and unplug the HDMI cables in hopes of getting them to be recognized. So far I am not having any issues with my current one, however I am stating to feel that it may start having the same HDMI connection issues.

Quite happy with it.

Klipsch KSW-10 10-Inch 225 Watt Subwoofer Single
Klipsch KSW-10 10-Inch 225 Watt Subwoofer Single

Pros: Price, sound quality, look, and build quality. I bought this Klipsch as my first of two 10" Subwoofer's. The other one being a Polk Subwoofer. This Klipsch Sub sounds amazing, looks great, and has a great build. It is easy to hook up, and at higher volumes it can and has shakes and rattles the floor, as well as anything hanging on the walls. Not just in my apartment, but my neighbors, and the neighbors next to them. Amazing sound, look, and well worth the price.

Cons: In all honesty I've had this for around 2-3 years and have yet to find anything wrong, nor anything to complain about. Worth the price.

Overall Review: I have bought two Subwoofers through NewEgg and admit its one of the better ones of the two. Though both are great, both have amazing sound quality.
