3 out of 5 eggs MSI GTX 970 Review 10/02/2014

This review is from: MSI GeForce GTX 970 GAMING 4G

Pros: This card is fantastic. I initially bought it because Asus Strix 970 was not yet on the market. About 2 hours later it appeared and I was somewhat upset. But, the msi version of the 970 is still a great card. It runs anything at max settings and 60 frames. This includes BF4, Crysis 3, TW Rome 2, and Arma 3. When the fan is on it's quiet and the temperatures are rather low.

Cons: The reason I docked two stars is because of the fan turning on at around 55 to 60 degrees. THIS FEATURE IS STUPID! This feature was supposed to make the card last longer but all it does is make my room hot when playing something like Minecraft. Then when playing a highly demanding game it makes the fan keep spooling up and down every minute or so. I wish there was way to fix this!

Other Thoughts: In looking back I should have waited to the buy the Asus Strix.
