BYTECC Bracket-35225 2.5
  • Verified Owner
  • neweggOwned For: 1 week to 1 month

3 out of 5 eggs Cheap, gets the job done. 04/22/2014

This review is from: BYTECC Bracket-35225 2.5" HDD/SSD Mounting Kit For 3.5" Drive Bay or Enclosure

Pros: Cheap
Holds 2 drives

Needed this to slap in some previously external drives into my case. They fit well and get the job done.
Includes hardware.

Cons: Poor documentation
Cheap feel to the plastic
Mounting two drives above each other does not allow for them to be offset (a hassle if you have 90 degree SATA cables).

EVGA GeForce 8400 GS DirectX 10 01G-P3-1302-LR 1GB 64-Bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Low Profile Ready Video Card
  • Verified Owner
  • neweggOwned For: 1 day to 1 week

Pros: $9.99 (w/ rebate and free shipping)
Easy to physically install
No external power needed

Cheap little card to help you get HD out if your onboard is out of date. Couldn't pass it up at $9.99 (w/ rebate).

Cons: Driver cd did not work (got accessed denied error)
Idle case temperature has jumped 20 degrees F from my previous card.
Had to download drivers from online.

SYBA SD-SATA150R PCI 2.2 SATA Controller Card
  • Verified Owner
  • neweggOwned For: 1 day to 1 week

4 out of 5 eggs Quick & easy install, runs fine. 04/16/2014

This review is from: SYBA SD-SATA150R PCI 2.2 SATA Controller Card

Pros: - Easy to install
- Cheap
- Allows for 2 more SATA ports
- Transfer rate is around 70 mb/a
- Sees drives over 2.2 TB
- Makes use of those old PCI slots
- RAID 0 or 1

I bought this originally just to have 2 extra sata ports on my system, but when I got a 3tb internal drive that my legacy bios mobo could not see it beyond 756gb, this drive saved it.

Plugged it in and windows recognized it and downloaded the drivers automatically from Windows Update. No need to use the confusing CD. Speeds are around 70mb/s.

Cons: - Drivers cd is confusing and clustered
- Cheap SATA cable
- Poor documentation.
