Pros: Awesome memory as always. I have always and only used Corsairs since I built my first rig back in high school because their quality and compatibility were always second to none.
Cons: Weak HS, may want to buy Corsair memory fan of antec spot cooler for it if you're going to do above-moderate OCing. I should have bought Dominators if I wasn't so stingy. My previous rig used Dominators, so it was hard to go back to regular XMS.
Serious QC flaw
Pros: Excellent overall and behind mobo cable management. Good long fron panel wires. Good construction. Plenty of interior room. Smart design and fan location. Basically has many of the good things of PC-X2000F but in a smaller size.
Cons: While there are LOTs of pros. There is a (IMO) serious QC flaw. The side panels are held in using "peg" like things. While is not bad, its not a good thing either. Seems like Lian Li cheaped out on reinforcing the side panels. If you see the panels on a PC-X1000, PC-X900 and PC-X2000F or on any other larger ATX towers, they are reinforced with both vertical and horizontal bars to prevent bending and bulging. Compare the panels, you will see what I mean. The PC-X500FX does not use bars, only pegs that latches on to the case frame. However, the front of the side panel on the window side lacks a peg, and because there is less aluminum on this side, the panel has a tendency to bend and bulge outward with the window. At first I thought it was a defect and had Newegg replace it, but now I realize its a manufacturing flaw. I warn all potential buyers right now, I'm guessing most 500FXs are like this, and is NOT an anomaly. Lian Li needs to correct this and stop cutting corners!!!!!
Overall Review: With the the pros and cons, again if it were not for the panel design, this tower is excellent and pricey. I would have given this 4 eggs but Lian Li customer support DOES NOT EXIST. THERE IS ZERO WAY OF CONTACTING LIAN LI DIRECTLY. And its ashame because I bought Lian cases in the past and I'm a bug fan of theirs. But my fanboi-sim is waivering... Silverstone is started to look appealing now.
nice game
Pros: Good game. Got it free with my video purchase.
Cons: Already owned the game.
One of the best towers ever
Pros: This tower is incredible. HUGE and spacious. Its VERY quiet. Excellent cable management. Lods of features, love the CPU backplate access. Beautiful tower, aesthetics are important to me. I'm not into those flashy wacky gaming towers.
Cons: The aluminum walls are flimsy compared to Lian-Li highend towers, but the frame is still rock solid which makes up of rock solid stability. 5.25" drive bays are tight squeeze.
Overall Review: Cavernous. I can hear an echo when I yell inside.
Nice
Pros: Dominators
Cons: None
Overall Review: Why go for other brands?
Nice
Pros: Crisp clear picture! 1080p! Price!
Cons: Needs more hdmi. Refresh does not stay still after rebooting laptop. I use this as external monitor for my laptop via hdmi. Always have to switch it to 60hz whenever laptop reboots or wakes. Not sure it its the monitor or laptop. Either case, both laptop and monitor are Asus, one would think go should go together seamlessly. Fix it, Asus!
