GIGABYTE Radeon HD 7970 DirectX 11 GV-R797D5-3GD-B 3GB 384-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card

Pros: Great card that keeps up with games. Works great on my Win7 64-bit system, with latest drivers installed.

Cons: The card isn't quiet... in fact, it's louder than my power supply. Also, the Mini DisplayPort-to-DVI connector gave me some problems. After a few weeks it conked out, so now I'm back down to two displays (one off the DVI, one of the HDMI) until I purchase a replacement.

Other Thoughts: I hope they bring it back... eventually I want to purchase a second one and hook up via Crossfire. But for now, even the one keeps up. Note that I'm not overclocking.

ZALMAN CNPS9900MAX-B 135mm Long life bearing CPU Cooler Blue LED

5 out of 5 eggs Works as advertised 09/17/2012

This review is from: ZALMAN CNPS9900MAX-B 135mm Long life bearing CPU Cooler Blue LED

Pros: Fits the LGA2011 socket snugly. Quiet. And the blue color is close enough to the other blue lights in my case.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: What can I say. It took me a while to find a fan that would fit the LGA2011, but this one did.

Pros: None

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I love this case! This was the first positive experience I've had putting together a system. I am a complete klutz when it comes to putting systems together, and I'm usually fighting cables and dropping screws. Not so with this case - there is so much room in there that it was actually comfortable to work. Putting in the hard drive and the DVD drives was so easy -- the hard dive goes in sideways, which makes connecting it a breeze. The manual was suprisingly good. And the 380W seems to be enough for average use -- I have two DVD drives, a hard drive, a Radeon 9800, and a 3.0GHz Intel. The shiny black is really attractive, too.
