Pros: Great price., and perfect displays so far - no dead pixels, and minimal emitted heat.
Bought two for my co-workers, and they love them. (Upgraded from 19" 1280x1024) Little video use, but seem OK.
Cons: None.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: OLYMPUS Tough TG-630 iHS V104110RU000 Red 12 MP 3.0" 460K Digital Camera
Pros: Compact and rugged. Great photos with default settings.
Weird red color means I'm less-likely to leave it at a job site.
Cons: Proprietary-but-crippled USB-connector. Standard connectors look identical but don't fit.
Doesn't seem to charge via USB!?
Other Thoughts: I like this camera a lot, but will probably avoid Olympus in the future because they used a proprietary USB interface with crippled (no battery charging) functions.
I don't believe they made this choice to benefit consumers.
This review is from: OLYMPUS TG-320 V104080RU000 Red 14 MP 2.7" 230K Action Camera
Pros: Simple to use, compact, and durable.
Immediately tested by dropping from 5' onto cement floor and it was un-damaged.
Great ergonomics, and photos turned out fine.
Cons: Unfortunately, co-workers dog took it off my desk and gnawed into the battery door. Camera still works fine, but I destroyed the door opening it to charge the battery.
Only real con is that Olympus uses proprietary USB-connectors. They look identical, but standard USB cords don't work.
There's no apparently good reason for using non-standard connectors when standard ones work fine. Companies don't do this for the buyer's benefit.
Other Thoughts: I almost replaced this with an identical unit, but Newegg had the Tough 630 for sale at only a little higher price.
I'm very happy with that one.
