Pros: Every amenity you could possibly want. No issues running Xubuntu alongside Windows. In linux the only thing you have to change right out of the box is you should (but don't have to) install the nVidia proprietary drivers.
Cons: - Metal where your hands rest, this isn't really a con but textured rubber doesn't get as cold.
Other Thoughts: - In Windows, can run Diablo III with max settings and still get 60 FPS and runs extremely smooth.
- I bought this because I wanted something I could work on, use linux with, and occasionally play games. It fits the bill perfectly at the right price.
- Might take out the mechanical HDD and swap it with a SSD as well! :)
Pros: Really Amazing sound
Freaking huge screen (glossy, but still pretty crisp)
Touchpad works (unlike the Dv6 series)
Fingerprint reader is a nice touch
The HP ProtectSmart for the HDD where it takes the needle off if being dropped has saved my HDD way more than one time.
Dedicated graphics is awesome, Can actually play game like Diablo III with graphics pretty high and still get 60 FPS
Cons: Plastic around the edges of the bottom half of the laptop have chipped away after about a year
When I got it the keyboard has never sat right, doesn't really affect anything but you can push it down where it should be on the upper left
Linux, no matter what, will not run on this machine. I love linux I spent weeks trying to no avail.
Webcam only okay
Other Thoughts: Over all this is an amazing laptop, just don't buy if you ever want to install linux. And moderate gaming is pretty good, at least for the price that is!READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Pixxo MA-9EG5 Black 3 Buttons 1 x Wheel USB 2.4 GHz Wireless Optical 1600 dpi Mouse
Pros: It works just fine, lasted years!!
Cons: Feels cheaply made, and also it kinda needed direct line of sight. Also it was a pretty loud mouse.
Other Thoughts: Overall it was a good mouse would recommend, just not for gamers.READ FULL REVIEW
