Perfectly Quiet & Cool

Rosewill CAPSTONE Series, CAPSTONE-650-M, 650W Semi-Modular Power Supply, 80 PLUS GOLD Certified, Single +12V Rail, SLI & CrossFire Ready, Black
Rosewill CAPSTONE Series, CAPSTONE-650-M, 650W Semi-Modular Power Supply, 80 PLUS GOLD Certified, Single +12V Rail, SLI & CrossFire Ready, Black

Pros: All modular, except for the CPU and motherboard power, but you'll need that no matter what. My power supply fits on top in a 4 year old case and the screws lined up perfectly. Computer got noticeably quieter after installing this into my system. I was able to use only 1 SATA power cable for both my DVD and hard drive. The modular cables would be too short to use in a full case and route them behind the motherboard, but since I don't have that option, I appreciated not having to deal with any extra length.

Cons: None that I have in my top mounted, non-hiding cable routing case.

Overall Review: After I bought this for a new video card, I discovered my overall system power requirements went way down after installing the new video card. Good thing this is Gold Certified. I am only drawing 130 Watts max out the wall. I need that extra efficiency since I am now way over powered.

Awesome Integration/Fit

Biostar CABLEUSB3.0 USB 3.0 Cable Bracket
Biostar CABLEUSB3.0 USB 3.0 Cable Bracket

Pros: I had this installed for 2 weeks, my wife never noticed it. Fits beautifully into any black chassis. The black finish is perfect matte finish, so it seems to be quite resistant to showing any where. The insert fit perfectly in my 4 year old case. Description was perfect as a 19pin adapter type. I was able to get the perfect PCI Express card to use this with

Cons: The cord may be a little short for hiding in routing this around behind motherboard, but since my case is 4 years old, don't have that option, but you might.

Holly Fast Drive

SanDisk Extreme 16GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive Model SDCZ80-016G-A75
SanDisk Extreme 16GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive Model SDCZ80-016G-A75

Pros: It performs as stated. I use this drive for PortableApps and I have forgotten I am using a thumb drive, unlike the slow USB 2.0 drives I own. In fact it is so fast I had to choose larger files to see the xfr speeds because the view progress window would not stay open long enough

Cons: I know it is just me, but I keep trying to insert the drive while depressing the slider bar.... so it doesn't always go in... The plastic does not feel solid enough for road warrior usage.

Overall Review: I have noticed that my bottleneck has suddenly become my proc/motherboard. Bought 4 years ago Core 2 Duo/LGA 775 Asus. Trying to hold off for another 6 months before upgrading.

Update/ USB 3.0 Speeds Confirmed

Silverstone PCI-E to USB 3.0 Add-On Card Model SST-EC04-P
Silverstone PCI-E to USB 3.0 Add-On Card Model SST-EC04-P

Pros: Now that i have confirmed it several times. I am achieving USB 3.0 speeds. I have also been using this for most of the month with PortableApps and I have seen vastly improved performance.

Cons: Still a little irritated that the mini-CD must be used to install the software and the Silverstone site does not include this option in its driver update. This is why I left it at 4 stars. If Silverstone fixed this little irritant, than I would feel very comfortable giving it a 5 Star rating. Mental note ---- Do not loose the mini-CD.

Overall Review: I thought I would be able to update my previous review. Oh well, I'll know for next time to hold off.
