2 out of 5 eggs It's my luck... 07/09/2006

This review is from: Nikon Inc 9000 ED 48bit CCD Film 4000 x 4000dpi Super Coolscan Scanner

Pros: The image quality is excellent! The software is easy to use and the batch processing is nice. Easy setup for the most part.

Cons: PROBLEM: The 35mm tray keeps getting jammed in the scanner. I'm using a Vaio 1.8 GHZ and it uses 100% of the CPU when scanning. You need a fast computer when using this product. I'm going to request an RMA for another unit. It's worth getting one that works right. If you enable all the options it can take 30 minutes to scan a single frame of film.

Other Thoughts: I may have just ended up with the lemon in the group. The quality and ease is worth waiting for another. This is a BIG unit so make sure you have the desk space.

5 out of 5 eggs Works great 06/15/2005

This review is from: RiDATA PRO-2 1GB Compact Flash (CF) Flash Card Model CFR1G-80X-G

Pros: None

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I have been using this CF card in my Nikon D70 and it works very well. The D70 has a buffer for storing data for writing to slow cards with out delay. But this card being 80x allows the D70 to run at full speed without any write delay. Good deal!
