Pros: These are great little devices. Good quality plastic. Flexible options for screw placement. 2.5" drives snap easily into place. I placed two, an SSD and an HDD, in the same bracket and felt good about how secure they were. Highly recommended.
Cons: None.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Shuttle KD20 Network Storage
Pros: Price. Attractive design. Ease of use. Has been a dependable workhorse for me.
Cons: None worth mentioning.
Other Thoughts: I've been reading through some of the dire negative reviews and wanted to chime in with my very positive experience with this device. This device is a great value. Mine has been working dependably for over a year attached to a Windows 7 environment. I use this primarily as storage for Plex Media Server. Initially I put a single Seagate NAS HDD ST2000VN000 2TB drive in it. Just recently paired that with another identical drive to make a 4TB RAID 0 array. Drive installation was easy. Also mounted this on an Ubuntu 14.04 HTPC no problem. Overheating has not been a problem. Have not used (or needed to use) the front flash port or USB ports. Transfer speeds could be better. I get 75MB/s read and 40-45MB/s write over my gigabit network. I recently attached my printer to it via a USB cable to free up a jack on my 5-port switch. The web interface is easy-to-use, somewhat simplistic. Not a lot of minute controls on this thing, but it does what it sets out to do simply and well--and for a good price.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: ZyXEL GS105S Unmanaged 5-Port Desktop Gigabit Ethernet Media Switch
Pros: Price. Compact. Has done the simple task it was designed to do flawlessly for over a year.
Cons: The activity lights bleed into each other, making them virtually indistinguishable.
Other Thoughts: This has been a phenomenal workhorse for what I paid--but I don't think it's worth more than what I paid, which is much less than the current list price.READ FULL REVIEW
