Great Card
Pros: This card is a big step up from my evga 9600gt. I'm impressed with the frames in Fallout 3, Far Cry 2, and other games, but they are not perfect, of course. I am not sure if this is due to a bottleneck with my cpu, since it is only a dual core 2.2 But in any case, the card performs extremely well, and seems to run cool.
Cons: I guess it's my overly high expectations, but i had hoped to see better performance in GTA 4, but i have heard that this is due to me not having a quad core processor
Overall Review: Good Value. Kind of big, but i've got it in my little mini Dell case, so i would imagine it would fit in most cases. i'm goin for the 9650 at the next price drop. should be a good combo. I also wish that i could get some good idea just what the extra memory does performance wise, for the card. some people say it doesn't do much.
Upgraded from 9800 gtx+ 1gb
Pros: This card is fast. But what surprises me most is its size (small) and it's heat output compared to my older 9800gtx+ 1gb. The card idles at 28 degrees, now I do live in a colder climate, but my older card would idle at 42 - 44 degrees in the same room. It's about 3 inches smaller than my old card as well. I'm happy with the performance and think this was a good step up, but I guess I wish it would have been cheaper. That's my fault for buying at a retailer. I went for the superclocked version because I heard they come from a better batch, but that may just be what people are saying. Good card, and I can recommend it to anybody.
Cons: I thought I was getting a lifetime warranty from EVGA and I only got 2 years. This is disappointing to me because I bought one of the more expensive models. Again, not EVGA's fault, I should have read the fine print.
Overall Review: Worthy card. My Battlefield BC2 gaming just went from medium to high and with AA and AFF enabled. Unfortunately, GTA 4 didn't improve much but that just confirms my suspicions that that game is a poorly made port.
