CyberPower CP1350PFCLCD 1350 VA / 810 Watts PFC Pure Sine Wave UPS w/ USB Charging Ports
  • Verified Owner
  • neweggOwned For: 1 week to 1 month

Pros: Our electrical grid system is the pits. Lots of drops, dips, and outright failures. This is a great UPS for my system. I have the computer, 500W PS, primary 27" monitor, router, modem, gigaswitch all on the battery side -- battery run time estimated at 33 mins.

Cons: None noted.

Other Thoughts: Make sure you get the latest version of PowerPanel from the CyberPower web site. The supplied CD version was dated and generated a script error in Windows7.

Antec Sonata Series SOLO II Black Aluminum / Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
  • Verified Owner
  • neweggOwned For: less than 1 day

Pros: This is a well built case. It's very solidly constructed. Has a top of case power supply mount.

Cons: Not the biggest fan of the front fascia. You have to remove the side panel to open, which is easy enough with thumbscrews, to get to the front fan dust filters. You can completely remove the front panel during your build. Rehanging it can be a tad tricky.

The top mount power supply position is better for PS cooling than bottom mounts IMO. However, with a liquid cooling radiator and fans the space can get real tight with the PS mounted right above it.

Other Thoughts: The case has a glossy finish which can be a fingerprint magnet.

Corsair Force Series GT 2.5
  • Verified Owner
  • neweggOwned For: 1 day to 1 week

Pros: Every new build should have an SSD primary.

Cons: Price per MB is pretty high, but oh so worth it.

Other Thoughts: I was a little skeptical about going with a SSD primary, but I'm a believer now. Buy one - you will be very happy.
