5 out of 5 eggs which I had bought more while on sale 08/09/2014

This review is from: Rosewill RDRD-11003 2.5" SSD / HDD Mounting Kit for 3.5" Drive Bay with 60 mm Fan

Pros: Great little device, love it. Good quality, easy install, quiet operation.

Cons: None I can think of. Should have bought a batch when these were on sale.

1 out of 5 eggs noisy, never received the rebate 08/03/2014

This review is from: RAIDMAX RX-380K 380W ATX12V Power Supply

Pros: I got this Raidmax PSU for my first NAS build. Wanted to go cheap to try things out. This unit is definitely cheap, and the $5 rebate maqde me choose it over others. It's fully compatible with the mini ITX MB I got for the NAS.

Cons: This PSU is afully noisy and getting pretty hot. A NAS is constantly on, but the noisy fan and the concern it could go up in smoke and destroy the NAS made me shut it down whenever possible.
The case is gray and does not go well with the all black Cooler Master case I used for the build.
The advertising is showing the PSU with a power button. Raidmax probably got rid of it to save costs.
I sent all the required information in for the rebate. Checked the status and Raidmax is showing it received. However, I never received the rebate. My inquiries were never answered b y Raidmax.

Other Thoughts: I have replaced the Raidmax PSU with another one from a reputable manufacturer, also from Newegg. Lesson learned: Do not go all the way cheap, never pays off.
I would not recommend this product, and neither its manufacturer: If Raidmax does not honor rebates then I would expect issues with them honoring warranty, too. Stay away from this company unless you want to have to deal with issues....

Logitech Z130 5 Watts 2.0 Speakers

3 out of 5 eggs fair sound quality for little money 01/11/2014

This review is from: Logitech Z130 5 Watts 2.0 Speakers

Pros: Cheap (now they are down to $9.99 from $12.99).

No scratches or sign of wear.

Hooked these up to a computer which I have used with monitor speakers only. Certainly an improvement.

Cons: Sound quality is fair at best.

On/off and volume control is the same switch.

Other Thoughts: I had bought refurbed Creative Labs speakers before, at ~$10. Those have better features and sound quality.
