Pros: - Gsync
- Mine OC'd to 100 hz without issue
- Color accuracy
- Solid stand
- Not too hideous with "gamer" dumb design choices like the asus version
- USB 3.0 hub is handy for me personally
- Comes fully assembled right out of the box
- Nice features like an FPS counter and ambient LED light that you can customize
- This res is the sweet spot for gaming
Cons: - BLB is still an issue even in 2016 but it seems quality has QC on these has improved
- Strange issue with showing the input on the screen when closing some games
- For the price I expected a little better when it comes to QC
Other Thoughts: So the first one I got looked perfect for the first 2 weeks I had it. Then it developed some backlight bleed in the top left corner. I thought it was strange that it took so long to show up but it was pretty obvious. A gold glow only in that corner and I thought because I paid so much for it there was no way I was just going to settle for it. I sent it back to Newegg and they were great to deal with as usual. Got a new one in a little over a week. So far I have put the new one through some 20 ish hours of gaming and it just has the typical glow associated with IPS displays. Make sure your brightness isnt too high or it makes it worse. Mine is at 35 out of 100.
Another strange issue is this thing it does with the input display. When you turn it on it tells you its using display port and for some reason they decided to put that message right in the center of the screen. I can deal with that but for some reason sometimes if you close a game the monitor will tell you randomly that you are using display port and flash it up on the center of the screen again. Seems to be a bug or something. Like the monitor gets a refreshed signal so it shows the input.
Overall I am very pleased with this thing though. The difference between 60 and 100 hz is very noticeable and gsync is a game changer literally. You will never want to game without it again. Just keep in mind that there are issues still with these having bleed and I actually talked to another guy who bought one recently and his wont OC to 100 hz only 95 and he has a GTX 1080 just like me.
Pros: - Fast
- Cheaper than Samsung although not quite as fast it would seem it still performs well
Cons: - None
Other Thoughts: I am using it as a boot drive with the extra room for games. Not counting BIOS Windows 10 boots in about 10 seconds including start-up programs. Things like photoshop open in 5 ish seconds. Shut down is super fast at around 3 seconds.READ FULL REVIEW
